I know Peterson needs AB's to get better. But he's becoming a liability at the plate. Maybe he should sit a few games instead of trying to force feed him.

True Gareth we are 12 games ahead of the Red's of course against teams in the Reds Division we haven't done so well & have done well ,except for SF, against Western Division teams, I think your missing my point though, I'm talking about the "style" of baseball the Dgrs. play in which success is hitting homeruns...In the just concluded Pirates series alone we had close to 30, plus or minus, risp in that series alone & we were swept, we don't have a Dee Gordon type that can get on base & move along by stealing bases, Crawford maybe, but he can't stay healthy & the homeruns are fewer & further apart than they were in the 1st half, good pitching stops us in our tracks & right now we're lucky the Giants seem to lose when we do & so far we are lacking in getting timely hits when we do get risp...

Wow, Vin Scully is an icon in LA sports. Been around forever. I hope he can go another 10 years. I couldn't imagine Dodger baseball without him. I can remember listening to radio broadcasts as a kid during night games with him. We lived in the central valley and the Dodgers station would only come in at night. I guess radio waves traveled farther at night. I used to listen to him call the games in the early 70's.

Bob Starr was a good Rams announcer but Dick Enberg was the best. When I was a kid, Enberg called the Rams, Angles and UCLA Basketball - all my favorite teams. I think he's one of the greats and highly underrated.
