And he did "pitch" out of them. It wasn't like they helped him. He went from 93-94 in the first inning to 95-96 in the second, then he was hitting 98 in the 3rd and 4th. On the streak, I feel the same way. "Keep the streak going this year, maybe it'll end next year". But then ask me again next year and I'll probably repeat that same mantra. Not only ending on a called strike 3 but with their best hitter at the plate taking a legit strike, not a gift from the umpire. On the game:Judge is insane in right field. Torres and Didi are awesome on D. I love the at bats this team put together. Sanchez had two 9 or 10 pitch at bats. As a team, they're not afraid to hit with 2 strikes and they often get it to a full count by not expanding. That's tough on the pitcher. Can't wait to watch tonight's game. Rooting for a game 5. Hoping the Rays can knock out the Astros. I agree with you Param. Our guys not expanding the strike zone (even Stanton didn’t do it even tho he needed hits) was a major contributor. These guys really are savages in the box. Boone’s game plan was immaculate and the guys executed it perfectly. We dominated them in every facet of the game. Entering into the series I had less than zero percent worries about them. It’s the twins lmao and when the trotted out that mustache kid in Game 2 I had a strong feeling it was over. It's all hands on deck for Houston tonight, would love to see this go extra innings and have them have to use Grienke in relief.... by PARAM 5 years 8 months ago Total posts: 13213 Joined: Jul 15 2015 Just far enough North of Philadelphia Hall of Fame Fully Operational Death Star - All Purpose Yankees Thread POST #288 The guys in the studio seemed to believe Houston picked up something on Glasnow and that helped them get the 4 runs in the first, which is double what they needed the way Cole pitched. They showed a bunch of clips of the first 4 batters talking to each other, hiding their mouths. Tin foil hat stuff or something substantial? Been following the horns since the Coliseum had a Roman playing there. Guess we'll have to go through them if we wanna win this thing. Their lineup is extremely strong top to bottom with a good BP and their starters seem locked in right now. I hate Justin Verlander. He's a ace pitcher with an alpha mentality, he's extremely rich, famous but my reason to hate him is that he gets to bang Kate Upton along with all his other talents he's been blessed with. That's too much for one person. Fcuk that guy. Hahahahahaaa. As for our roster. If Hicks can throw its a no brainer to replace Maybin with him. I am not so sure about CC on the roster tho. Even if we win one in Houston this weekend it will be hard to win 3 in a row in NYC and I think this thing goes back to Houston tied. It's going to be a battle. All the adversity this group has overcome...……… I believe in them. It's time for the championship to come back home. I'm of the mind it doesn't matter who we play if we are going to win the World Series. Even if Houston wins today, their pitching staff is going to come into the ALCS stressed. And the plan will be, "win one of the first two in Houston and break serve". We've watched this team for 6 months and with all they've overcome, I don't think it matters to them who they play. And if they are, in fact, good enough (and I believe they are) it won't matter. Been following the horns since the Coliseum had a Roman playing there.
