I don't know about elBJ in P&G,,, The Lakers are ripe to rise from the ashes and if any team could solidify his quest to be the greatest, it would be the last place Lakers. They would be instant contenders with years to go...

Magic Johnson was really happy with the selection of Brandon Ingram, & went on & on about this guy. I've told friends that Ingram reminded me of a boney Magic & I saw that comparison in other places as well & also Ingram is a serious scorer, facilitator, shot blocker, & dribbler, he's always willing to share the ball & has a wingspan of a 7' 3" man, shoots a little over 60% from 2's & 42% from 3's & he's 19 years old & will get better folks...

The Lakers picked a good one IMO guys...

Wow Elvis you "really do" know everything...Just kidding, lol... But didn't know that...Like you I have a hard time seeing LaBron going Hollywood,,,
Those 2 guys left in Miami, are nearing the end of their careers (Dwayne Wade & Chris Bosh) so if he's gonna move at all the Lakers have more to offer as far as young talent up & coming than just about anyone & loads of money...

Contrary to popular belief, he doesn't know everything. It just seems like he does. 8-)
LOL

This kid is going to get punked if he doesn't start working out with Artest or something. Great talent though. He or Simmons were no brainers,,, and this dude is only 18 yrs old. I thought they made that rule to 2 years minimum at college,,,, guess not.

We have a lot of high round - high pick players on our team now. I think these guy's are a stud free agent (or 2) away from contention..

Totally agree with your post Hacksaw, interesting analysis on Ingram today by the "expert" commentators however, they say that although its rare, they don't want some players to put on a lot of weight, Brandon Ingram being one of those type of players, as it will sometimes effect his quickness, fluidity & all around game...The Lakers when they had him in for a tryout, measured his strength & were surprised how strong he is & the general consensus was 205-210lbs would be ideal, he needs some weight to counter some of the bigger players he'll be going up against, but they don't want a weight gain to effect his all around gamethey say...They said all of his basketball life he went up against bigger players without a problem his game has been honed against bigger players...He'll get heavier & stronger but not a whole lot...

I hear ya RD. I didn't mean get as big as Artest just bang with him I'm sure he's gone up against some bigs in his career but in the pros the many forwards are the size of centers in the NCAA. I see 210 adding upper body and leg power. Don't want him getting pushed off the block too easily or unable to hold his box out.

I think realistically the Lakers are a year away from being players for one or two of the star free agents. If the Lakers kids improve and they don't waste all their cap room this year they can add a couple nice role player pieces, I think they might stand a chance. Maybe Jeannie Buss takes over by then and decides to make a splash. Lebron and Westbrook? Lebron just enrolled his kids here in school too. I think he will eventually end up in LA whether its with the Lakers or Clippers IDK... Lebron wants to win rings and he ain't comin' until the Lakers get better. Especially if Durant goes to the Warriors, he's going to want his own posse as a condition to come and compete in the West.

Until then I think all that FA talk this year is fools gold. Hopefully they don't overpay for three 2nd level guys with max contracts....
