I'd love to say the will eventually finish it. They should. But it might be at home against the Padres. I honestly don't think they will win a game against the Giants in their park. The Dodgers are not built to score in a park like ATT. They rely on home runs. If they don't hit any they lose. Thats a tough park to hit home runs in. A mediocre pitcher can shut them down there. It happened last night.

Its very possible Kershaw can pitch 9 shutout innings and not get a win. Greinke made one mistake and it lost the game. Against a very pedestrian Jake Peavy. After Greinke and Kershaw, whoever pitches is going to give up runs. I honestly think Mattingly shoulda conceded to Bumgarner and start Kershaw tomorrow. A shutout tomorrow would likely mean a win. But Anderson or Wood ain't gonna shut anyone out.

Fortunately they have a cushion. Even with a Giants sweep they can clinch at home by winning two out of three against the Padres. And Kershaw and Greinke will be pitching in that series if they need a win to clinch.

I only wish i could've seen it. My brother live texted the end of the game for me.

Complete game, 13k, 1 hit shutout to win the pennant in SF, not too shabby...

Possibly the most impressive "clutch" win of Kershaw's career. I hope it carries over to the post season.

I figured it would be a solid outing for Kershaw. I just didn't figure they would score on Bumgarner. That place is tough for them to score in. Except last night. Was nice to see Bumgarner look like he was going to cry. That dude can be a jerk.

On to the playoffs where anyone can catch fire. The hot team usually wins. With starters like Kershaw and Greinke we got as good a chance as anyone else. But lets not talk about the bullpen. Maybe they won't have to worry. The starter goes 8 innings and Jansen closes it.

Amazing what one win can do to someone's outlook. Yesterday they couldn't win a single game in SF and now they have as good a chance as anyone.

Just having fun with you Snack - sports fandom is like that.

Well, it was a fun regular season while it lasted. I'll just sit back and watch the playoffs without stressing over who wins. I always pull for the NL because the AL, with the stupid DH, isn't real baseball. Gracious me, a player must field and bat to be considered a ballplayer.

Congrats to all Dodger fans, enjoy your postseason festivities. I will now jump out of my window...fortunately, I live in a single story ranch house so I don't expect much damage to occur.

I'm actually starting to wonder if it might be better to have Kershaw and Greinke pitch games 1 and 2 on the road. With their experience I don't think HFA matters as much. That gives our starter in game 3 (Wood/Anderson) home field advantage which might mean a lot more. Also you can come back with Kershaw in game 4 also at home...Just a thought.

Rest Agon, Kendricks, Grandal and Turner and let the chips fall where they may. Our best strategy may be to pitch Kersh and Greinke in NY in games 1 and 2 anyways.

Word is, now that they've clinched, tonight's game will not be blacked out on ESPN...
