The one shot is the drug that keeps us hooked. My best round is a 78. I got to golf with a Pro. He helped me the majority of my shots. Then reality hit next time I played 97, then a 103 on the same course.

My grandson is quite the golfer. He's on the high school golf team as a sophomore. His best was an 81 last month. His dad is pretty good too. A 12 handicap. Whenever I golf with them I seem to play better. I seem to have more focus.

My personal best was an 88 while playing with my son in law. I didn't drive very well but I hit some good 2nd shots. Landed on the green from over 200 yards 3 times in that round.

But lately I've been going with my grandson and I seem to have trouble breaking 100. I do it about half the time. There's always the same problem during a round that creeps up and causes problems. But that problem changes from round to round. And I have to hit a warm up bucked before the round to see what type of swing is working that day. I'm trying to get to the point where I don't have to adjust my swing from round to round. Or even hole to hole sometimes.

Woods held the No. 1 ranking in the world, off and on, for 683 weeks, more than any player in history. But, he has not won a major championship since his 2008 U.S. Open, a victory that preceded major knee and leg surgery.

"I could no longer live with the pain I had. We tried every possible non-surgical route and nothing worked. I had good days and bad days, but the pain was usually there, and I couldn't do much," he wrote in a blog post last week. "Even lying down hurt." Wood's said.

Tigers body is breaking down. His extreme stroke style didn't help. Now being on non recreational med's, it makes you wonder if he can even return to a resemblance of his former self.

So I suppose I'll have to put my PGA tour plans on hold. Broke my wrist falling down stairs. Hey, maybe the time off will fix my swing. Might forget how to hook and slice. :P

lol snack..
If an injury works for Tiger, than why not you. 8-) You are both going to come back stronger.
That story reminded me of the joke that has a guy in the ER after a car ran over his hand and smashed his fingers. He asked the doc if he'll ever play his concert piano with these smashed fingers? The doc said' absolutely you'll be able to.' Then the guy said 'that's great !!, , since I never could before'..

True story. Me and a friend went golfing about 20 years ago. We got paired up with two strangers for that round. One of the guys had the tip of his middle finger cut off in an accident a couple years before that. On a short 240 yard par 4 the guy uses a 7 iron on a high tee. I figured he was just laying up because of the huge bunker in front of the green. His shot lands in the center of the green.

His friend said ever since he lost the tip of his finger he crushes his irons off a high tee. No woods in his bag. He shot an 80 that day. Nothing but short irons to the greens on his approach shots.

Heck, if I had any club I could hit straight at 240 I'd be a lot better than I am now. :?

Its slowly getting better. I can do a lot more now. I still need to keep the removeable cast on when I'm doing things. Doesn't feel stable without it. I think I might be ready to hit some golf balls in a week or so. I could hit from the tee right now. But off the grass with the irons might be harder. More resistance.

I'll be favoring my right hand more. Who knows? Maybe thats what I shoulda been doing all along? 8-)
