He said the permits would be ready the first week of December which is also when the owners meetings is.
The only thing is the FAA thing and that's the only thing that has me concerned.

The FAA thing is a non issue. It was never a problem during race days at Hollywood park. The stadium won't affect incoming air traffic's radar. Just another spin article with no real basis on facts.

Butts didn't even mention it (FAA) but did everything else.

Stan just needs to let it be known at the December meetings that it's time to shit or get off the pot. When the permits are clear, just start digging. Spanos has had time to negotiate, but he still is under the delusion that Stan will back off if the owners want to approve Carson. No "Grand Bargain" will occur if Spanos thinks Stan won't go rogue. Maybe it will take that to get Spanos off his high horse and negotiate with Stan about being a tenant in HIS stadium. If he wants an equity stake, cough up some money to help build it.
Will Goldman Sachs finance Carson if Stan begins building in Inglewood and moves this offseason?

GS is a player who doesn't want Inglewood to happen. If it does, they potentially lose out on the StL stadium and the Carson-ogen project. No dough for GS, so I could see them getting stinky.
But I have to think if ESK actually starts building the CoC Stadium, some GS investors might get cold feet.

I've always seen this as Kroenke's ace in the hole. He doesn't need anyone's permission or help to move the Rams and build Inglewood. Whether he's truly willing to play that card, i don't know.
But you're right, not only can Stan move and start building his stadium at least a year ahead of Carson, the Carson financing likely crumbles if the Rams are already in L.A. and building. It would completely change the amount of revenue the Carson stadium could hope to generate to pay for itself via Goldman Sachs...
