The Patriots were ultra physical with the Chiefs receivers. The officials aren’t going to see them all nor call all of them. I’m surprised more teams don’t do this often. Seattle is making a living off being physical.

eh? not sure what games schwartz has been watching through the years but this stuff (shown in the clip) happens every single game, again and again, all teams do it, i.e. grab receivers coming off the los, sometimes they get flagged, often they don't, not sure why schwartz/baldwin are acting like they've stumbled onto something?

I think that our biggest advantage over other teams is our balance.

Our Nos. 1, 2 and 3 WRs caught 86 (Woods), 80 (Cooks) and 69 (Kupps/Reynolds - yes, I know there was some overlap, but they essentially comprised the No. 3 spot) passes. Gurley had another 59, and the TE position (Everett/Higbee) added another 57. Add to that the fact that the Rams were the #3 rushing offense, even before adding C.J. Anderson.

If the Patriots focus on one or two guys, the Rams need to be ready to hurt them with other weapons.

That incompletion to Kelce was holding but Kelce grabbed him too. The defender let go pretty quick but Kelce had a hold of his jersey too. If he just breaks away when the defender lets go he has a better chance to make the catch. Maybe Rams receivers shouldn't get involved with the physical aspect. If refs see two guys pushing, shoving and grabbing they likely let it go. If its just the defender maybe they throw the flag.

Patriots have done a good job stopping the run in the two playoff games. Although the early leads assisted that. There were only 22 runs in the two games they played. KC and the Chargers fell behind early and had to throw more often.

I think Reynolds and Everett are the key. If the Patriots take away Cooks and limit Gurley, Reynolds and Everett need to step up. But will McVay trust them enough?

I don't know what happens in this game. But in the future if all 3 of our wideout are healthing going into the playoffs, we're gonna be a bitch to stop. You can take away one. But you can't take away all 3. Then if Reynolds and Everett improve, there's just that much more to deal with.

What about Woods??? You cant take away everyone. Also McVay (more importantly Goff) obviously trusts Reynolds and Everett, they had huge huge plays in the NFC championship.

I hope they aren't allowed to get away with too much. It seems like teams that have a reputation for good defenses are often left to mug the receivers above and beyond what's "normal". Seattle and Baltimore also come to mind. Good defenses, no doubt but it seems they are allowed to hold, grab, pull, impede receivers more than should be allowed.

Luckily, the Rams have shown a variety of ways they can move the ball on offense so they aren't dependent on their receivers being left unmolested.

I think a lot depends on the tendencies of the officials on the field. Does anybody know if John Parry tends to throw a lot of flags? Bill Vinovich doesn't, while Clete Blakeman throws a lot. I think that has more to do with it than who the NFL "wants to win", or other conspiracy theories.

We are the better team. Their coach, QB and TE are solid. They have a successful system. But the have marginal players at most positions. Guys no one has heard of.

The Rams are deep. Quality O players at all skilled positions.

Our special teams are unparalleled.

It's the defense that will make the difference. If we play big and tough,, dominate the LOS, and win the TO battle, we will bring the Lombardi home to LA.
