Saints are favored.
Saints beat us this year.
Saints are at home.
Road teams don't fare well in NFC Championship.
Road QBs don't fare well in NFC Championship.
Young QBs don't fare well in NFC Championship.
We're 0-8 with this officiating crew.
Brees and Thomas torched Peters and Co. last time.
The Saints are great against the run.

I get it. The Rams are not supposed to win. They've gone as far as they were projected to go, but now its time for it to end.

I don't care about all that.

We've been on a ride with this team since the Summer, and we've seen them do some special things. They've amazed us and even surprised us at times.

So we're not supposed to win. I get it.

But we can win.

And I'm going to make this call: we will.

Rams 34
Saints 31

In spite of all that, the Saints are only favored by 3.5, the value of home field.

One small advantage we have is we played Saturday, giving us an extra day which helps make up for the travel day.

It may be a tough row to hoe but it's a row that can be hoed...

I still think playing them in their stadium and losing to them gives us an edge we would not otherwise have. They have one of the best QB's in the league. They have one of the best receivers. Two good running backs. A good line. Not to mention a very experienced coach calling plays. Kinda sounds like our team. So why can't we beat them?

We're 0-8 with this officiating crew.

Uhh, anybody else see this as a problem? Especially after Peyton mentioned the penalties in the Philly game at least 4 times, that lil troll mindfucker

WTF is this true. Sheeeeshhh…

Damn right we can win and I think the score you predicted is pretty much the most logical way for us to win.

As someone already pointed out. The fact that we lost against them gives us an edge. It should piss our guys off. And the dome won't hold any surprises for our young guys who have played their before.

And don’t forget they beat us the last time we played them in the playoffs.

So we’re doomed.

not sure it's as bad as all that....

vinovich has only crewed 2 games since mcvay took over, both losses, to the eagles and saints, i didn't see a lot of ref malfeasance going on in those two games?

the other rams games he crewed were from 2004-2016 which coincided with a cumulative rams record of 68-139-1 (.329), so it's hard to believe (for me at least) that he and his striped gang sabotaged the rams during those years, plus a lot of those games were against solid, winning opponents.

also, by my count, the rams are actually 2-10 in the games he's crewed (6 home games, 6 away games) - he crewed rams wins in 2006 (win over denver) and 2004 (win over the jets).

he's also crewed 12 saints games from 2004-2018 (9 home games, 3 away games), and the saints are 8-4 in those games, including 1-1 this year (home loss to the panthers, home win against the rams)... all told, the saints are 5-4 at home, and 3-0 on the road, in games he's crewed.

but the saints have been the opposite of the rams for much of that time, they were winners not perennial losers, so their 8-4 record tends to make sense to me, and their 5-4 home record strikes me as rather fair.

anyway, here's a breakdown (blue text = wins):

Thanks A1....that 0-8 with this ref really got me. I feel a lot better now.

@Avenger Ram, good post/thread. I don't see why we can't win this game. Screw the Dome. Screw Brees. Screw Thomas. But somebody needs to wipe out Payton on the sideline!!!!
