Should, sure, at the end of the year. Will he? No.

Although ground Chuck Knox got the heave ho in '94 when the Rams moved to the mid west.

1. Ground Chuck has a winning record for the most part
2. No one ever had any misunderstanding about the identity for a Ground Chuck team.

It's *obvious* that Fisher is not the solution. The record is extensive and clear.. he's mediocre and is squandering some real talent.

Amazingly poor leadership. This is exactly what I saw at the beginning of last season with the Minnesota game. I lost faith then and have seen nothing since to change my mind.

Nothing.

It's not going to happen till the end of the year. There's just too much uncertainty about relocation. The other issue is who will replace Fisher, Gregg Williams who is despised in certain NFL circles or Cignetti who can't even handle being the OC. The best bet is to let the season play out and make a run at Sean Payton.

Wow, now a Sean Payton team in LA would be incedible.

Hadn't even thought of that scenario - love it. Seean Payton coach of the Los Angeles Rams back in the real uniforms of yellow and blue. And somehow add a QB during the offseason.

Yes.

Do you think Sean Payton would coach with Greg Williams as his DC again? Or, he would have to go as well and let Payton pick a new one?

And then there's this, posted Friday on another board. If true, then people inside the organization are seriously delusional..

MountainRam, post: 662377, member: 3659 wrote:While visiting family and friends, I met a scout who did some work for Rams recently (that's all he would let me say about him :)). We touched on various Rams topics. Here is the summary of what the scout indicated:

1. Saffold will be back next year with Rams
2. Fisher and Snead contracts will be extended soon. He indicated Fisher and Belichick are two of the best coach cum player evaluators in the league. And there is no another coach even close.
3. Team is incredibly happy with jamon brown and E.J Gaines talents. Havenstein mehhhh.
4. Britt lost a step since Tennessee days. Except Britt, all other WRs run great routes only a % of time.
5. According to this scout, management, coaches, front office are all in agreement Rams are a super bowl team this year. He said watch the next 8 games you will get it.
6. Per the scout, 9ers will stink for the next 3-4 years. Called cardinals mostly a phony. He respects Seahawks.

I didn't want to be seen as pushing the envelope by asking about next years draft and Rams priorities right away. He agreed to stay in touch. BTW, I did ask him if I could post this and he said no problem.

Right, that was basically my response. But on a more serious note, it is concerning. I've seen this kind of delusion internally within an organization before. And it wouldn't surprise me, at least before today, to see people insight the oganization believing that they are much better then they are. Just listen to Fisher talk in press conferences about how close they were to win. Only recently has he acknowledged the inaility of the offense. But today should change everything. It's clear that the team is broken, so it's going to be very hard to spin it otherwise, internally or externally. But on the other hand, Jeff will try.

Per Jim Thomas, Kroenke was at the game today. No way he could watch this game and think any of that after today.

If he's focused on LA as we believe he is - he also knows he needs a winning team that people want to watch. Gurley helps, but no one is going to want the team on the field today to be their new team.
