If Chicago lost, the starters would rest and it would be three weeks before the next time they take the field. The Rams have not figured this out yet, they need more work ramping up to the good teams again. Yesterday was fun to see CJ light it up, the O-line block well, and the D show up to close the door after halftime. Jared Goff still drives me crazy, but after that "I hate this guy" moment, he managed a pretty good effort the rest of the way, and I like him again - so it's all good But they still have work to do to get to where they can counter good teams and the creative strategies they will implement against them. I was glad to finally see some flexibility in formations and definitely glad to see the jet back in heavy doses. But more work needs to be done. And we get to see another awesome home Rams game - so the selfish is in too RFU Season Ticket Holder 2 by ocbasko 6 years 6 months ago Total posts: 19 Joined: Dec 17 2016 LA Coliseum Undrafted Free Agent Happy The SF Game Matters POST #2 Agree, 3 weeks of rest would not be good. They need another competitive game to get them ready for the playoffs.I hate the Niners but they are playing well. We should beat them and if we don’t that tells me we’ll be one and done in the playoffs. Looking forward to this game! Go RAMS!!! by max 6 years 6 months ago Total posts: 5714 Joined: Jun 01 2015 Sarasota, FL Hall of Fame Happy The SF Game Matters POST #3 I’ve been tough on Goff the last few weeks. But I’m fair, I think. After that strip sack yesterday, I feared he would lose it. And to be fair, it wasn’t the worst strip sack, he was under heavy pressure and didn’t do anything stupid. But to his credit, he was undaunted and determined the rest of the game. That last pass to Woods was a beauty. The key was McVay getting back to pounding the ball and CJA shocking the Cards and most of us. That’s Rams football. Not Goff thowing the ball 40 times. Right now, Goff is a complimentary piece, not the centerpiece of this offense. He was never an MVP candidate, IMO. Typically, as with all QBs, he got too much credit when things were good, and too much blame when they were bad. You wanna know about QB credit? How much credit does Foles get and how much does Wentz get based on their results this year? ~ max ~“The consciousness of good intentions disdains ambiguity.” - Alexander Hamilton, The Federalist Papers by Watchdog 6 years 6 months ago Total posts: 249 Joined: Jan 21 2016 Long Beach Rookie Happy The SF Game Matters POST #4 TOPIC AUTHOR max wrote:I’ve been tough on Goff the last few weeks. But to his credit, he was undaunted and determined the rest of the game. I'm sure he'd rather have i that way too.
