I know I am repeating myself

This team is a John Robinson team Pre Jim Everett. They managed to win 10 games in '84, 11 games in '85 with Jeff Kemp and then Dieter Brock.

This formula is not sexy but it can win games. Win SuperBowls... not really. To one dimensional if they were to fall behind. They need that 1 stud receiver like Henry Ellard was back in the day.

Exactly!

And I hated those John Robinson teams too. I mean, I loved so many of the players, and it was horrible to watch them have to play for such an inept HC. Great for USC, but terrible for the NFL level.

ED would have definitely had a ring were it not for Robinson, who eventually sold-out our HOF RB over pennies.

The 80s teams had a better line and better QB's. You can win with that formula but not with the current personnel.

i would argue those teams under achieved, and that it was the offense, except for ED, who largely responsible for this. I believe we're seeing a repeat of this, and for me its beyond frustrating to watch. If we just had an avg offense I would say that we can become a playoff team. But Fisher is too stubborn to see this.

The O line will go through growing pains for a year and a half like the D did. Especially on the road when they have to deal with crowd noise and it's hard to hear adjustments and audibles. The talent and depth is very close to being good enough to make a deep run. Foles is a JAG it looks like. This team could even win with him with a really good possession TE for the middle of the field and a good #1 WR. Just a guy who can rack up 1st downs, doesn't have to be a 1300 yard guy. On to Chicago and hopefully Quinn, Long and TJ are ready. Also i'd sit Quick and get a look at Nick Toon if he knows the playbook.
