The Mayor of Inglewood, James T. Butts, Jr., joined Fred Roggin to address an old article that resurfaced today. The article called into question whether or not the Inglewood taxpayers would be on the hook for any money spent on the development of an NFL-spec stadium.

The Mayor has always maintained that not a dime of public money would be spent on the private development of The Hollywood Park site. He addressed this, again, and did not mince words.

Wow, that was a real pleasure to listen to. A straight shooting Mayor with a Master in Business Degree. No double talking, no hyperbole. Just straight deal terms that make sense and that anyone can understand.

That's a man who knows politics, and knows how to get things done. It's night and day between him and Robles, you have to think that at least some within the owners group has noticed the difference.

Sounds like a confident, focus and detailed man when it comes to the Stadium. While you hear all this noise about other projects doing this or that or dealing with city officials, Inglewood just keeps humming along with no issues at all. Seems like the only issue is can Spanos force his way in as the 2nd team. I don't see how it doesn't get built for the Rams at this point.
