If this is true, then this thing is over. Chargers and Raiders aren't coming up with $2B in Relo plus another $2B for Carson.

Stan's got to have some poker player in him. We need to start hearing rumors of him balking at the price.

Listening to the Beast 980, Fred was all over that One Bil. saying there is nothing to it, just vicious rumor. I gotta believe that's just way too high. Also going on about how Spanos is getting desperate, freaking out because his Carson plan is being uncovered as a bluff.

It's probably too high, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was more than 500 M.

My guess it'll be 350.

Damn.... That's a little steep... I guess its "hey, this guy needs most of his stadium, help us and we help you" type fee more than anything.

I think they'll set it this high for two reasons.

1) See how serious those 2 are about Carson.

2) When they find out how serious they aren't, about 70% of the fee Stan pays will be divided up between the two other teams to help them build local stadiums the rest will go to the NFL.

This works best for the NFL as it gets the best owner/stadium to succeed in LA there alone. It gets a boost to both the other teams to their home market stadiums. And it still gets the NFL what it could normally expect about $300 million for a relocation fee. Stan won't use any G4 money (he doesn't qualify anyways) and this relo fee is put to good use.

In the end everybody, especially the NFL wins except St Louis who is likely the next spot dangled over a city for a relocation.
