Guess i was making that up? Oh wait, now reports that pit, ne & phi in need of corner looking at conley & j.jenkins to acquire. Also, mentioned some minor moves a bit ago. New kicker but everyone saw that coming & then ateman & kirkland activated to 53. as for DC (Derek Carr) & fractured relations with team, not true. Is there some friction building, yes but not with DC. the vets are pointing fingers to the younger guys & also starting to check out bc of how JG is moving guys. Players are uncertain if they're gonna be here tomorrow & not even looking ahead as to remaining with team in 2019. Unless some crazycdeal come DC is not being moved before deadline, however, going into offseason is a different story. As i mentioned & now seeing reports from nat'l media that this could be a thing.I was out of town and didn't get to post the Fly's following posts(which was written two days before Amari Cooper was traded).Fly-on-the-wall wrote:Okay, haven't posted 1 in awhile for certain reasons. So, this will be all over the place & getting facts straight.I'd like to point out to the few asshats that constantly opted to badger me stating I'm just throwing sh!t @ the wall to see if it sticks theory the following. I had posted during FA that OAK had offered both Bowman & Junior a contract. In which once the draft started the deal was removed for Bowman. And as of a few days ago tweeted by JG himself he (Junior Galette) was advised (by his agent) to reject 2 offers..1 from WAS & the other from OAK.Now, with this out of the way, am I going to post things that are going to happen 100% of the time, no, absolutely not.The NFL world & the business side of it is constantly changing. What maybe typed today, in a week or month or whenever could & likely will change.DISCLAIMER for those asshats again if needed: ANY of my posting in regards to the Raider Stuff title may & will likely change. Some will be spot. I only post what I hear.SO, if you want to read the post & disbelieve, that is fine by me. Also, anyone w/ questions for me outside of the post, feel free to shoot me a pm & I'll get to it asap. This will help keep the boards cleaned up.Now..I had mentioned shortly after JG was hired he was gonna turn things upside down & this was, at the least, a 2 yr thing.Depending on how the 2019 offseason goes, this could leak into the 1st yr of the LV debut.Team IS shopping Karl, Conley & Cooper. Just to point out no team states they're not shopping a player & then says to open up talks we're looking for a 1st ala Cooper. Teams showing interest in Cooper are DAl, NYJ & GB. Also, depending on how this goes, DC (Derek Carr) could be gone @ the end of the year in a time frame of the combine & shortly into the 2019 draft. There are other players being shopped but no names & that's likely cause it's low tier guys like D.Johnson who was recently released.McKenzie seems to be all but certain of being gone & honestly would be shocked if he stays on for 2019. Whispers I've heard as replacements..S.McGloughan(sp?), L.Riddick & M.Lombardi.Nothing on bringing back Lynch & they're going to monitor his groin injury & likely heading to IR which will conclude his Raiders playing days most likely. Warren was not on the final 53 when placed on IR so he is not eligible to come back. So, it looks to be Jalen & Doug & then possibly adding in Washington.History lesson:(from info I posted a few years back) saw this in the chat & in some threads. Going back to when RM was hired, yes he hand picked Allen HOWEVER, DA (Dennis Allen) was NOT his 1st choice. Looking back @ the way the team was going to be for the next 2 years, no HC candidate in their right mind was willing to jump on board. McCoy was 1 & I cannot recall the other 2 for that time but ALL 3 declined to even interview, let alone accept a HC job w/ the Raiders IF they were given the chance. There's only 32 of these jobs so that speaks volumes as to what RM was dealing with. No cap, no real players & not much of a staff. So, at that point RM deserves a pass. NOW..moving forward, JDR (Jack Del Rio) & staff are on board & it's RM & JDR making picks so BOTH are at fault for the lack luster of roster this team has. NOw, there was room that RM could have signed better FA's as to some of those signings were on him & others on JDR as that's what he wanted.More so, JDR should have done what every fan here knew was the reasonable thing to do & that was keep Bill & fire KNJ. We saw how things ended with this chapter.Let's not leave out MD either. It's a catch 22 w/ him IMO, he doesn't get in the way which is a good thing but when things get too ugly, as an owner he should have stepped in. He did so w/ the Saffold FA signing. He did so when searching for next HC following DA, which @ that time was when he was really pressing Jon to come back. So, some of this debacle can be MD's blame as well. And yes, RM is involved in the blame game as well for being too cheap & missing on FA's, when he should have been aiming a bit higher.Current State:(back to Oct 2018) Start w/ DC.. he has made some pivotal mistakes & he should shoulder the blame. Is all of it on him, no. Why? O-line is jacked up. You have a rookie LT playing 2 gms now w/ a knee injury. An aging LT moved to RT who suffered an injury placing him on IR only to be replaced w/ a small school rookie @ RT. You starting LG has missed 2 gms & his replacement has been okay @ best only to suffer multiple injuries in wk 6 to be replaced by the swing tackle, who now is the 3rd string LG. Also, being coached by Cable who is alright as a coach.Wasn't JG's 1st choice when he was putting the staff together & there's reasons why.Going back to DC, doesn't help that KM was traded. At the end of the day any team can fit any contract within their cap. However, if that was to happen, what would say the next 2-3 yrs of cap space look like? Would there be enough to improve the roster?Enough to replace a player who is injured & placed on IR? I see both sides & why but it's a dead horse now.So, DC is trying to shoulder & carry this team from its deficiencies stemming from Offense, Defense & ST. That is way too much to ask 1 player to do. To conclude everything, it's likely gonna get worse before it gets better & this is not just stemming from product on the filed. This will leak into at least next offseason. Until JG sees his 53 players worthy & the f/o people or where ever, this is an on going job/rebuild. ne supra crepidam sutor iudicaret by Elmgrovegnome 5 years 5 months ago Total posts: 624 Joined: Oct 02 2016 LA Coliseum Veteran Re: Raiders (dumpster fire) Insider POST #2 RamsFanSince82 liked this post Mike Lombardi as a possible GM? The reportedly fractured relationship between Carr and his teammates is rooted in a loss of confidence in the quarterback, as exacerbated by game film from the London contest against the Seahawks that “showed what looked like him crying after being sacked and injuring his arm.”“They saw his face,” Thompson writes. “They heard his whimper. They witnessed him explain on the sidelines. They assuredly watched it again in film session. It’s hard to see how Carr can lead this team again.”It was indeed curious, to say the least, to see video of what appeared to be Carr crying in the melting-face way that a kid would cry after falling off his bike. If Thompson’s report is accurate, Carr’s teammates regard it as something worse than curious. This doesn’t mean the Raiders will move on from Carr, but whether and to what extent the locker room believes in Carr could be a factor in coach Jon Gruden’s ultimate assessment as to whether Carr should or shouldn’t be the quarterback in 2019. As noted on Monday, his contract pays out an average of $19.6 million over the next four years, which could make him tradeable. If not, the Raiders will have to decide by the third day of the 2019 waiver period whether to keep Carr and pay him a guaranteed salary of $19.9 million next year or cut him and find another quarterback. by dieterbrock 5 years 5 months ago Total posts: 11512 Joined: Mar 31 2015 New Jersey Hall of Fame Raiders (dumpster fire) Insider POST #5 Elvis, BobCarl liked this post I’d gladly take Jared Cook off their hands 2 by BobCarl 5 years 5 months ago Total posts: 4296 Joined: Mar 08 2017 LA Coliseum Superstar Raiders (dumpster fire) Insider POST #6 TOPIC AUTHOR Elmgrovegnome wrote:Mike Lombardi as a possible GM? Did I read that right? The guy who helped the Browns become worse than they were? He is an idiot, coattails rider. We all know that Jon Gruden is the GM and coach.McKenzie is basically working as the Director of Pro Personnel with the glorified title of "GM".The Fly-on-the-wall heard three names mentioned. The context of the conversation is unknown. If McKenzie quits/gets-fired today, who can jump in and fill his shoes for the interim? Whatever context was discussed, there are likely more names being thrown out that hasn't been heard about, some will be absurd and quickly crossed off, especially of an intern was asked to gather some names. ne supra crepidam sutor iudicaret by BobCarl 5 years 5 months ago Total posts: 4296 Joined: Mar 08 2017 LA Coliseum Superstar Raiders (dumpster fire) Insider POST #7 TOPIC AUTHOR phoenixrising wrote:Hey BC, what's this I hear about your QB crying like a little schoolgirl after being sacked and losing the respect (what was left) of the team? Tafur was shown the door on unpleasant terms, and currently still suffering from ex-wife syndrome . He eventually got a job across the bay and every now and then takes tabloid jabs against his former first love.Maybe Carr cried, maybe he didn't. As far as I'm concerned, whatever happened in the locker room before game 3 of 2017 is where the "losing the respect" started.
