Brutal Week 3, but Rams won. Vikings got embarrassed at home by the Bills.

Trap game for the Vikings? Spending their time planning for Rams on a next short week and forgot about that other team they had to scrimmage against in the meantime? Or, do they really just suck?

No wonder vegas gave us the 6.5

Peters and Talib will be HUGE misses but Shields will be more than enough to fill in. The other spot is gonna be problem but i am sure Wade will adjust and the rest of the defense will pick up the slack. Diggs and Theilen are serious WRs.

As long as the Rams offense is "fucking everything in sight" (Quote from my favorite podcast this morning Lol) we will be OK. Can't wait for this game. I'm hype!!!

QFTOS: Vikings pregame edition;

The Vikings produced one of their worst games in recent memory on Sunday, falling behind early and never recovering in a 27-6 home loss to Buffalo.
Minnesota now has a tall task ahead, as the Vikings get set for a matchup against the Rams on Thursday night on the West Coast.

After Sunday's debacle, how in the world do you have confidence in this game? Peters is out, which helps I guess. But he doesn't play defensive tackle.

We have to do something to keep Kirk upright.

The Rams might be flying high, but they've been feasting lesser NFL teams. The Vikings represent the first competitive opponent they've faced, so it is possible the Rams are riding a wave of false confidence. This is a great game for the Vikings Defense to show up and punch them in the mouth

Last season when we played the Rams offense we made Goff look pedestrian. That was mid-season and at home. Our defense isn't in mid-season form and this is on the road and on a short week. Still, I do not think you can completely count the Vikings out of this one.

Looking at the bright side. After all these decades, MN Vikings vs LA Rams is relevant again.
I was not old enough to experience the Fearsome Foursome vs The Purple People Eaters.

The Rams offense is extremely versatile and they give you a lot to worry about. In the run game they make you defend the perimeter with the quick hitting Jet Sweep then smash you up the middle with Gurley off Jet fakes. When passing they protect Goff well and push the ball downfield to Woods and Kupp. Unless the defense looks totally different than they have so far it's going to be rough. Last year Zimmer outsmarted McVay.

On to Thursday and the LA/St. Louis/LA Rams....

i really don't see how the rams can score on this defense.

Do moral victories count in the standings?

Its a short schedule, on the road, against the Rams, in prime time. They're so mind screwed they lost this game before it started. This will be a three or four touchdown loss.

We can use any advantage we can get this week. Anyone have connections in LA so we can Tonya Harding Donald and Suh?

Get throttled at home by the worst team in the league, and then forced to travel a long distance on the road to play the #1 ranked team on a short week. Thanks NFL! This should go great. This game should be treated like the 4th preseason game.

Not much else to say. The Rams are looking like one of the best team in the NFL and the Vikings' ship is taking on water at an alarming rate. A respectable showing by the Vikings on the road may ease some of "the sky is falling" thoughts amongst the fanbase.

meanwhile, ALL THREE of our division rivals are favored to win this week.

What’s wrong with that? Minnesota was favored by 16.5.. we all know how that turned out.

if we are for real, we will need to come out and beat the rams. or at the very least, put up a very strong showing that can carry us into a win against the eagles. if we roll over vs one or both, i see a pretty terrible trajectory for the rest of the season. i wouldn't call it lost, but i'd be extremely worried.

the more I think about it, the more it hits me just how fkn crucial this Rams game has become. And we have no one to blame but ourselves!
