I have no clue, not a draft guy, and don't know what to expect from our new regime.

So, TE?

Edge still seems like a good possibility:

23. Los Angeles Rams: DE Harold Landry, Boston College

The Rams made a bunch of big moves to improve their secondary this offseason, trading for Aqib Talib and Marcus Peters, tagging Lamarcus Joyner, and re-signing Nickell Robey-Coleman—but that group is still going to need support in the form of a consistent pass rush off the edge. Landry is coming off a down year in which he battled through an ankle injury, but when healthy in 2016, the former Boston College star was one of the top pass rushers in the nation. He’d get plenty of one-on-one opportunities lined up next to Aaron Donald.

NT meant no text BTW, not NT, as in Nose Tackle. So no one gets confused.

I could definitely see an edge guy right now.

look who it is! wassup brudda?

I agree that edge is a "need". I just am not convinced of value there where we draft....I almost think some of the second tier guys could very well be as good and in some cases safer picks than the "top guys.."

Other than maybe Chubb I have question marks with Davenport, Landry and Key... None are sure fire elite prospects in my book.

I don't see anything resembling Lawrence Taylor in this class...

Also for "edge guys" I believe a lot of fans want the more traditional "getoff" pass rush specialist. I contend that this skillset is good of course but we should really be looking at "edge guys" that play disciplined at "setting the edge". This is specially true if we sign Suh.

Some guys that I like are:

Uchenna Nwosu
Josh Sweat
Lorrenzo Carter
Jeff Holland
Kyle Fitts
Maquise Haynes
Justin Lawler
Are Aruna
Ogbonnia Okoronkwo

would love to trade down and either go

edge/OL

TE/edge

WR/edge

Guys I consider not trading down for are:

Vita Vea (if he gets even close I'm trading up)
Isaiah Wynn (maybe safest pick)
Tyrell Crosby
Billy Price

Possibles:
DJ. Moore
Calvin Ridley
Mike Geseiki
Harold Landry
Arden Key
Sam Hubbard

Really looking at RB:
Sony Michael
Royce Freeman
Bradley Chubb
Rashaad Penny

second tier OL:
Martinas Rankin
Brian Oneil
Chukwuma Okorafor
Alex Cappa

next tier WR

Dante Pettis (could be the steal of draft)
DJ Chark
Equanimeous St. Brown
Darren Carrington II
Javon Wims

interior OL
Bradley Bozeman (love this guy)
Brian Allen
Will Clapp
Colby Gossett
Brandon Mahon

What happens if somebody like Darius Guice or Derwin James slips to us?

Dude is 6'6 273...

and had the best 3 cone out of all edge guys...along with best short shuttle...benched 35 reps
https://www.ndtscouting.com/nfl-scoutin ... t-tracker/

Did you watch him drop in coverage?

He's an athlete... smooth hips..

Kid CAN cover... he was a 5 star safety recruit coming into OSU

coming off a gimpy knee thats not bad 40 straight line speed..

He's probably the best prospect in this class at setting the edge vs run on the backside..

unlike R quinn

wont matter Pats will take him

It will be an edge guy or more probably an OT like the guy from UCLA.

Agreed in that I think it will be an edge rusher or Oline here. And like Hack, IF Vita Vea drops at all we should jump up and take him.
