Good stuff Dick84, and good luck to anyone 'letting down' with McVay around.

To me it's all about the injuries. In an NFL season marred by so many big-time players going down for long stretches, the Rams were remarkably healthy. Can that luck continue? They'll need to add depth to ensure they don't have a major drop off when the inevitable injuries occur.

I agree with the injury thing. We were pretty lucky the offensive line remained intact all season. I gotta think we won't be so lucky in 2018. Having a whole line remain intact is more the exception than the rule these days.

What you need is a good coach with a good system and a healthy quarterback, as long as he's good. And a solid defense. I think we have all 3 of those. I'd always like to see improvement through FA, but when you're 11-5 with the best scoring differential, and a very young team, how much more do you need to improve? What we really need is to retain our key FA's and have the young guys get better. If I had to pick one area in need of improvement, it would be the edge rusher spots.

All I have to say, when the Rams do make the playoffs it is usually in clusters. The last time the Rams made the playoffs one year and not the next was 1970. Since 1970, they have always has consecutive visits to the playoffs.
73 thru 80
83 thru 86
88 & 89
99 thru 2001
2003 & 2004

I want a Superbowl champion. But a run like they had in the 70's would be nice too. Maybe they get both. 8-)

11 wins is a lot. Just going by the odds, less next year is a very real possibility...
