After decades of mostly head-scratchers and prayers, the Rams get it right. Truly, a time to be thankful as a Rams fan.

When the news broke that we were hiring McVay, my first thought was "Who?" But as the weeks and months went by I was encouraged by everything I was hearing about him. But I've seen many fluff pieces on new coaches over the years. I was still skeptical. Here we are a year later and I'm more excited about our head coach than I've been in a long time. The Rams management team got it right and it could change the course of the franchise for many years. In a good way.

I was in the same boat. Thought the accolades were more fluff than something to hang our hats on but it all worked out as well as one could hope. I thought Shanahan was a better overall risk but McVay should win coach of the year IMO and who could argue with that?

Great times.
I was without question, very skeptical of the hire. After going thru the Herman Edwards regime with the Jets, I was weary of hearing him say all the right things but not being able to put in to practice. Herm was a cliche machine and fortunately for Us McVay the real deal

McVay was very humble too. Took blame when things did not work out which was rare, gave credit to others when things went well, which of course was most of the time. He is a leader.
