Well, if you're gonna spin it, might as well spin it good and positive. He has to convince the players of this as well. We don't get to watch film with the info the coaches and players have on what was supposed to happen with each play call. So, he is probably right. The problem is, this team just doesn't ever seem to make those plays.

You're right, and we're only three games into the season so maybe it's a whole different story when 2015 is said and done.

The future is unknown. But unfortunately, the past and the present are conspiring against us...

I sure hope he believes it.

I try to be positive but scoring a combined total of 16 points in 2 weeks vs 2 pretty mediocre defense makes it tough to swallow the "a break here or there" pill

Lindy Infante with the Packers was the first time I remember a coach trying to explain a suck season by using the line of being just a few plays away.

Yeah, few plays away could be reality or just common recycled empty coachspeak. It's a results oriented league, so I'm inclined to go with the latter.

I've heard this "a few plays away" many times before from Fisher. If we're only a few plays away from a win, Jeff, then WHY not get the win?

His team is also one or two plays from being 0-3.
