Good spot. What he's is saying makes sense. And btw Carmen Policy is a fraud.

Interesting listen. Smith calls Policy "arrogant" to consider reshaping the California market. Fit's his agenda but somewhat flies in the face of common sense.

Policy believing that the Charaiders,, just because they are playing in LA, could suddenly satisfy the entire state of SoCal is whack,,. That sounds absurd to me. Just ask SD fan. And why is this not already the case?

Kroenke told the owners in August that if 2nd team plays in Inglewood, it will be as a tenant.

There's a meeting today of the relocation committee, probably won't be any news out of it but we'll see...

LA is a mega market all by itself.

So if Spanos has the means to go it alone in LA why doesn't he want to take the sweet deal in SD? He is only worth around $350m more than his team valuation. I'm sure the increases in team value (on paper) might look attractive, and I suppose the sponsors will pay more, same with PSL costs etc, but he will be in debt far more than his equity stake after taking on such a hefty encumbrance to build the place on his own (borrowed) dime.

So are/were the Raiders only in this because it fixes their stadium problem? Or do they smell $$. From the sound of things, sounds like Spanos is considering cutting bait (dead weight). So was the Charaider 2 team ploy merely a game of one-upmanship to make noise in the first place?

I still don't see the league realigning divisions and awarding the prize to the losers of/in their own markets. The world just doesn't work that way.

You dont pay for 50 % of the stadium construction why wouldnt you be a tenant? Oh wait I forgot the world revolves around what Spanos wants.

Inglewood cost about 2.0 billion. Spanos can contribute say 500 million from SD PSL sales for a 25% equity stake entitling him to 25% of all non-NFL revenues produced by the stadium after expenses. Is that what he is looking for?
