LOUIS (KMOX) – The St. Louis Rams’ season opener at the Edward-Jones Dome is just over a month away, and the team still has nearly 8,200 tickets unsold.Brian Feldt of the St Louis Business Journal isn’t sure just what to make of that.“What’s not clear completely, because the Rams won’t talk to us, if this is on pace with previous years or if this is down this year because of everything that’s happening with the potential move to Los Angeles,” Feldt says. The Jones Dome capacity is 66,000. Last year, the home opener drew 56,000 fans, and for all of last year, the Rams averaged 57,000 tickets sold per game. That was 31st in the 32-team NFL.Feldt says season ticket holders don’t look promising either.“We found back in May, season ticket sales were down double percentage points,” he says.Feldt says the Journal’s review of ticket data shows other home games have about the same numbers, except for the Nov. 15 game against the Chicago Bears. A large number of tickets for that game have been bought by Bears fans.(TM and © Copyright 2015 CBS Radio Inc. and its relevant subsidiaries. RAMS will need to light it up early and often to get the home fans into the team. May not be possible given the current atmosphere. Geez, just move the team to LA tomorrow and let's get this thing going. Old race cars and the men and women who piloted these beasts are covered in Vintage Motorsport magazine. The eras covered are about 1900 to the year 2010 or so.
