I wish I could care. I actually hate the Patriots as much or more than I used to hate the 49ers and that's saying something. Regardless of what happens, instead of the Patriots being considered as cheaters like they are, they'll come out of this galvanized and probably win another Super Bowl. So, while I enjoy seeing Brady go through some crap, none of it will stick and it's very annoying to me.

I would love it if the Patriots had to start playing with real officiating or even get games called like they were the Browns.

Too much of a stretch to think Kraft's riff with Goodell somehow helps Kroenke?

Man how times have changed:

It's more to do with the lawsuit from Brady and the NFLPA. If Kraft shows more than just talk but assists in the lawsuit then it helps with a potential lawsuit from Kroenke. The NFL won't want multiple suits either directly or indirectly from owners. It makes the NFL and Goodwell look weak and highlights the other problems that have occurred. Goodell's failure as the pointman for LA prior to becoming commissioner and the multiple issues this year.

My take from Kraft statement was the opposite. The NFL makes arbitrary decisions based on their own welfare.

That is why I've been asking the simple question of whether or not the league will make more money with two teams in Los Angeles as opposed to one. Rozelles response shouldn't give st. Louis much comfort if Goodell follows suit... since both have the same job and represented basically the same individuals,, I'm not sure why anything would change..

Clearly the league is mega huge today compared to '79 so they're way more brand/image conscious than ever before.

But my thinking on Kraft was: as a member of the relocation committee he's been a go along to get along, do what's best for the league kind of guy but now, after this, maybe he's more in the Jerry Jones every man for himself camp?

Rozelle did things behind closed doors but he was vindictive to anyone who crossed him except for Georgia. She knew too much of the bad old days in Baltimore. Al Davis's trade for the Bears pick in 83 is a good example, Bears agreed and mysteriously backed out. Tagliabue was a negotiator and Goodell is just plain weak. His decisions are based on public reactions.
