I wish Long the best. He was a committed Ram while wearing the horns. Personally, I dislike seeing former Rams play for the 49ers, Seahawks, Broncos and Pats.

I'm wondering how much of a loss Long will actually be. It seems his value was apparent when he was out and the Rams couldn't get a sack. He may not get the sack numbers himself, but he seemed to be important to the rest of the defense putting pressure on the QB. I understand why he had to be cut, but it was a stupid contract that he was under in the first place. Never should have had such a crazy deal. Wish he could have stayed a Ram and if Belechick wants him, it makes me think he's got something left to offer.

This is the polar opposite of the SJ deal.
SJ wanted to play for a winner, and opted out of his deal. It was his choice to leave the Rams for greener pastures.
Long wanted to stay, restructured his deal and all. If he could have "opted in" to play with the Rams he would have

It's only a one year contract, interested to see for how much. Pretty much everyone knows Long is at the end of his career...
