Peyton Manning Retires

I am grateful to have shared the field in your LAST game but most importantly I am grateful to have mimicked a style you created to bring out the best in MË! And that style is/was mastering the art of: PREPARAT1ØN. You have changed this game in ways you will never no and I admire the man you are on and off the field. You set the bar H1GH....extremelyHiGH and knowing your family, I know that's just the norm. I came into this league gagging and still gagging my talents to this day off of the things that YOÜ have done and accomplished; because you are and you will FOREVER be the STANDARD! So long SHER1FF!

Pretty impressive company. My favorite sports figure of all time on this list. (Hint: I don't follow hockey). Saw a poll today about whether Manning was the GOAT QB...choices were yes, top 5, top 10, not even close. Yes and not even close both had 13% at the time I looked.

Let's see: Harold Jackson is your avatar and according to your profile elsewhere you live in Kentucky, not much to go on. That is kind of close to Chicago but Jordan might be too recent, not too mention the most obvious choice.

Bill Russell?

Celtics?!! Russell was before my time....and you know me better than that. I happen to think Kareem ranks in the GOAT of the GOAT across all sports. But I hold strange opinions. Kareem, Gretzky/Howe, the Babe, Pele...there's your Top 5.

Man i was way off.

I'd pick Kareem as my favorite on that list too.

Pretty sure i told this story before but i saw him roller skating at a place called Flippers once back in the 80's, pretty crazy thing to see: Kareem Abdul Jabbar on roller skates...

I haven't heard that one. As a mid-western kid, been to LA once but somehow adopted the Rams and Lakers big time. One stuck and one didn't (NBA got sacrificed for time and Shaq/Kobe just not the same as Kareem/Magic). One of my life goals to meet Kareem.

On topic, I started liking Manning better b/c of ads like this.
