Rams Inglewood stadium expected to get underway in August

It’s not often the weather plays a negative role in Los Angeles.

But apparently there is a first for everything.

The hope was construction on the Rams’ new stadium in Inglewood would begin immediately after they were approved for relocation from St. Louis to Los Angeles. And while they were granted relocation to L.A. in January by fellow NFL owners, construction work has yet to begin in Inglewood.

You can thank El Nino for the delay.

According to Inglewood Mayor James Butts, stadium developers are taking a cautious approach with the construction timeline due to the expected heavy rains. Provided developers are confident the bulk of the rain has cleared out, they are targeting August 1st for excavation

The Rams have not set a starting date for actual construction on the stadium. but the venue is still scheduled to open in 2019. The Rams will play at the Coliseum in the interim, beginning in the 2016 season.

Yeah this el Nino is pretty bad. The freakin water is in the 50s now. Me thinks the permits might not be ready et..

Maybe the FAA issue as well.

Last I heard, El Niño might not even happen. Hopefully it does, we need water.

Man there is some real hate towards out Rams. So many folks wanting them and Kroenke to fail miserably. The vitriol is over the top.
What is Farmer up to? Talking about derailing the stadium? This issue must be fixable, but the FAA could be what is stalling the permitting process.

There's so many STL people that either don't know how to read and or want the LA Rams/ING to fail. Tim Mc....(I'm not sure what his last name is, but he's a member of the STL media) tried to make a big deal out of Farmer's tweet. Most people with common sense knew Farmer was joking.

Actually I was posting about the comments left on their twitter accounts. 90% were F ESK and F the Rams. Bad vibes..
