Alex Mack coming home?

Mack was born in Los Angeles, California. He attended San Marcos High School in Santa Barbara, where he was named the Channel League's Co-Most Valuable Player on defense and earned a first-team all-league selection. He was also selected to the All-CIF team. In the classroom, he compiled a 4.2 GPA and an 1180 SAT score.

Considered a two-star recruit by Rivals.com, Mack chose California over Northwestern and Stanford.[2]

Mack also wrestled for four years with the Royals, losing only two matches his senior year and reaching the state final. He was a CIF champion as a junior and a senior.

A guy called in to 980 this evening from Santa Barbara, claiming to be long time friends with Mack. He says Mack wants to desperately to come home and play center for the LA Rams next year. He was willing to take even 2-million less money, to come here if he had to.

One day later, and we have key talent talking about doing this.

Our team just dumped a bottom tier NFL stadium, for a top tier team of the future.

Tell me this isn't a dream. :)

I could get behind that F/A signing. Only 30 years old (31 in Nov)

Was just going to post this.

From a thread on this earlier on this board: "A guy called in to 980 this evening from Santa Barbara, claiming to be long time friends with Mack. He says Mack wants to desperately to come home and play center for the LA Rams next year. He was willing to take even 2-million less money, to come here if he had to."

Take it for what it's worth.

I would be a fan of the signing.

Alex Mack would be a MAJOR upgrade of the Rams OL. But how much are the Rams willing to pay him? If he would take 6 or 7 mil for 3 or 4 years I would sign him in a heartbeat. Mack rarely gets pushed back into the pocket. While I like Barnes attitude, he just gets manhandled too often. r
Rams QB's are average (at best), and need every advantage they can get, and with Mack they would have more time in the pocket. Mack would improve the whole offense.

After looking at how GRob graded out (one of the worst), maybe our biggest question is at LT. I still would like Mack. He seems like a no-risk F/A that, as Hacksaw said, immediately upgrades not just the line, but the entire offense.
