Demoff on the Beast 2-19

Only heard a bit of it, on with Vinny and i think Wes. But Demoff said a couple things i hadn't heard before.
Said they would do something with the blue and gold throw backs for 2016, working on ways to satisfy fans about the uniforms. So maybe wear them more than twice is what i think he was getting at.
Also said still looking for a TC facility, leaning towards the valley (i think).
And then said there's always pressure to win but there's more now than the last few years in St. Louis. Not sure what that means tangibly or whether it's just PR speak but he definitely said they'd be trying harder to win now than they were the last couple years...
If the podcast goes up i'll post it and if anyone else heard it and can add/clarify, please do...

Waiting for them to put the podcast up.
It's logical that there's more pressure to win in LA. Glad that they feel a sense of urgency.
Curious to know who/what is driving their decisions now. They are certainly not based on sentiment or old guard methods.
Apparently, the Rams are getting more involved with analytics, including Kroenke who is speaking at a conference in Boston next month.

I wonder if Fisher had a lot of/waaaay too much influence on F/A signings I.E. Foles, Britt, Cook... Maybe Snead had more draft "say" and less on F/A's (See Foles extension). Possibly Snead is much more in charge now of all personnel decisions. He too is a big analytics guy.

Also, I say the pressure to field a playoff team this season is immense. The just HAVE to get it right. They can't come out here and go 8-8 and use the same old excuses. It is going to be very interesting to see who they re sign, who they sign from other teams (buyer beware on this front), and who the draft. The release of CL, JL, and stone-hands was a bold move in the right direction, if not unsurprising.

Listened to the whole interview. Basically they wanted to give them the opportunity to go to the combine and drum up interest for thier services. Was asked if possibility of bringing them back was possible, Demoff said the door is never closed but when you make a move like this, you have to assume the players will not be coming back. He basically siad that they would have to come to them. I would say its a pretty good bet that we have seen the last of these guys in a Rams uniform. We knew the Long and cook moves were coming. JL kinda surprised me.
As far as the uniforms. Basically the same thing he has been saying since day 1, they will heavily involve the fans once the design starts but basically we have what we have for the time being. I do not think throwbacks will be worn more than the allowed 2 games, What I think he is eluding to is to switch them up mpore frequently, So yellow and blue this yuear and perhaps blue and white the following year.

Thanks for the recap.
Did you hear it like i did that they'd be trying harder to win in L.A.? At least harder than they were trying the last two years in St. Louis?

I'd be stunned if he were stupid enough to say something like that.
Even if he thought it...and I doubt he thought it.

Not me. They threw STL under the bus awhile ago.
Now it's all about selling LA that they are trying even harder now.
Plus, I have a funny habit of trusting good posters like Elvis. But sure, I enjoy verifying.
