Seeing as how this is the last week Dallas Cowboys’ training camp in Oxnard, Calif., I thought maybe it would be fun to use our Flashback column today to peruse archive photos of past camps.
Unfortunately, despite the vastness of our in-house archive, I can only go back so far with ease. As you can imagine it’s a long, detail-laden process to convert many decades of film negatives to something digital that can be key-worded and quickly searched. Some of that process has already been done, and that’s where I’ll start. By the way, all images are staff unless otherwise indicated.
Here are several photos from the team’s Thousand Oaks, Calif. location, which was the Cowboys’ summer training grounds for more than two decades:
