I've read several articles now, on the 2016 NFL Draft prospects.

From your personal experience watching college football over the past two/three seasons -- who are the "Plug and Play" players YOU KNOW can start day one.
..
I'm NOT interested in players who "may" be good after eight games gaining experience.
I'm NOT interested in players who have "high potential".
I'm NOT interested in players who "need coached up".
..
I want "plug and play" players - Day One Starters.
Any Position.

Ok, fine, more belief than actually "KNOW" -- based on both having a pulse and four limbs, at last count.

MIles Jack

Day 1 Starter MLB.

Here's why he's a fit at MLB in our 4/3: He's virtually unblockable. He sheds blocks like a demon. He can bring that nastiness back to our run defense. His coverage skills are ELITE. He can cover any RB/TE and run with some WR's. In zone scheme the amount of field he's going to be able to eat up is going top be crazy. He basically locks down the middle of the field. I won't even get into the crazy blitz options he'll create for GW. A VAST improvement over JL55.

Drawbacks: will get caught sometimes in overpursuit; gonna have to trade up to get him



Potentially best player in this years draft.

WEAKNESSES:
Lacks ideal size at linebacker. Does not possess ideal length and can get caught up in the wash. Not an explosive hitter.

Will need to prove the health of his season-ending knee injury that required surgery and will be limited in his ability to impress scouts on the field during the pre-draft period.

OVER-ALL VIEW: An athletic specimen with above-average pursuit speed, contact balance and mental processor to know everything going on around him, Jack has the athletic skill set to be a difference-maker.

2 questions as Im not entirely familiar, but 1) didn't he blow out his knee pretty good? And 2) wasn't he an outside LB? Did he play interior at all?

I think it was a broken leg. As far as where he played. He played everywhere. He played in the middle in several formations. I thought when he was lined up in the middle its his best position. He has zero issues matching up on the interior physically imo. In fact I think that's one of his biggest strengths. His ability to take on blocks is tremendous. He blows up OT's and OG's like they are ragdolls. To be able to do that the guy must have some serious power and explosion in his base. Combine that type of power with his sheer speed and coverage ability. There isn't anybody better in this draft class. That being said, against spread offenses he would often be lined up in man coverage in the slot against WR's in press. They also would line him up at times over the DE.

I just wish we didn't have to go get a QB this year. I would be doing everything in my power to draft this guy. I bet he runs a sub 4.5 40 at the combine. Then we will have zero chance at him lol.

He's stronger, more physical, and is more aggressive than I remember of Thomas.
And it's the last part that no one talks about.

The dude has a bit of knucklehead in him. Sure, people are going to say that the refs had it in for him -- sounds more like fan speak to me -- but the dude picks up his share of PFs.
