Yes most is muscle but weight gain will affect someone with blood clot history. He may have to lose some weight to help control it. Moderate exercise is good for him but if he is going to weight train he needs medical supervision and possibly medication. When I was working ICU at Balboa Hospital we would occasionally get Marines in. Most for obvious reasons took the medical out. But it's a condition that is life threatening. Jackson will have to make some serious decisions about his life going forward. One thing is certain even if he continues to play in the NFL the Rams also have a decision to make. They can't afford to tie up big money in him. Considering his past history it might have been a factor in why he's only signed for two years. Too bad because it simply complicates things for him. Whatever position he chooses I wish him well. I've had friends with that condition and it really can change their life if it chronically flares up as it seems to with Alaric. I would expect the Rams to carry him through this year whether he plays or not. Then offer him an injury settlement next year. I think the Rams are going to look long and hard at Leveston at RT for next year, so LT is looking like a priority next year. 1 by BobCarl 10 hours 55 minutes ago Total posts: 4629 Joined: Mar 08 2017 LA Coliseum Superstar Alaric Jackson is dealing with blood clots POST #10 Joe Pendleton liked this post actionjack wrote:Terrible news, Yes it is.
