Pretty tough picked Golden over Loveland by a hair. FYI maybe 2-3 of these players will be around at 26.

Also learned Jihaad Camphell has a torn labrum. That means he isnt playing until week 5 at best. Not great injury for a linebacker....

I'm taking a CB. But I doubt the Rams will. They went heavy on defense last year, and I know it's tough for Sean to not go with an offensive toy. So I don't see it two years in a row.

LOL who says it's going to be one of them?

After listening to both Snead and McCay I get the feeling that they will stand put at 26 unless an offer comes in that they can't ignore and trade down. Trading down to still be in the first round but picking up a second round pick would change their entire draft.

I think there is one player they would be willing to move up a few spots to grab and that is TE Tyler Warren. Warren is a weapon the likes of the Rams haven't had. He's got size and speed.

But other than that I see them standing pat and IMO there are only a few positions worth a first round pick. QB, LT, RB, and CB being the primary positions. They solved their LT and RT can be found in the third or fourth round if they already don't have one they think might work on the roster. Havenstein playing one more season makes it less than an immediate need.

Other than TE and OT I can see them taking RB and CB. It would not surprise me if Williams isn't extended. This is a deep draft in RBs. In fact the way they are dragging their feet over his extension, makes me feel they are thinking of using him as trade bait which is one reason they want his contract amount and structure to carry if they need to and to make him tradeable. Right now the biggest hole isn't a player but lack of a second round pick.

If they stand pat at 26 and make a pick it might be:

TE: Warren

QB: McCord, Shough (more raw but offers more versatility while still projecting as a year 2 starter)

CB: Revel

RB: Sampson

It's called a hypothetical.

Yeah, that's part of the hypothetical.

Irrelevant to the hypothetical.

TE: Warren

Very unlikely he makes it to 26.
QB: McCord, Shough (more raw but offers more versatility while still projecting as a year 2 starter)

No way in Hell.

CB: Revel

Part of the hypothetical.

RB: Sampson

No chance.

Did not know about that. Definitely could impact his status on my board.

CB is my top priority as well, but I won't be shocked if we wait until Round 3 to address the position.

I know he has had rotator cuff surgery, and probably won't be recovered until November/December, but I still go with Jihaad Campbell at LB. If not for the injury and surgery, I seriouly doubt he would have fallen to us and if he's there for the final push, take him.

The Fla St corner. We have too many corners on the last year of contracts. Yes, we also need WR, TE and even RT. But we also need corners. Especially after 2025. The draft is about now and the future.
