Odd statistic. I guess this will hold unless we beat the Eagles and then play the Lions again. (Unless the Commanders beat the Lions).
Weird Fact: Sean McVay will coach his 13th playoff game as head coach of the Rams this weekend. All 13 games have been against different opponents.
Opponent -Date
Atlanta Falcons January 6, 2018
Dallas Cowboys January 12, 2019
New Orleans Saints January 20, 2019
New England Patriots February 3, 2019
Seattle Seahawks January 9, 2021
Green Bay Packers January 16, 2021
Arizona Cardinals January 17, 2022
Tampa Bay Buccaneers January 23, 2022
San Francisco 49ers January 30, 2022
Cincinnati Bengals February 13, 2022
Detroit Lions January 6, 2024
Minnesota Vikings January 13, 2025
Philadelphia Eagles January 19, 2025
So he only needs to face the Commanders, Giants, Panthers, and Bears to play every NFC team besides the Rams in the playoffs.

The McVay Stafford combo has played 6 playoff games together.
They have won 5, and lost 1 by 1 point.
I don’t think the talking head experts know that or have considered it in their evaluation of this game.

A friend of mine also mentioned to me that in none of those games did the Rams allow a 100 yard rusher. Assuming that’s true, that’s going to be a very hard streak to continue this weekend.

Awesome stat RedAlice! As long as the upcoming game doesn't turn red, McVay could face
another team this year for the first time. Wouldn't that be a hoot?

I've heard this stat a couple of times in the last few days;
Sean McVay is one playoff win from tying most playoff wins for a coach under 45. He would tie with with John Madden. Two wins to take sole control of that record.
Sean McVay turns 45 in 2031.

NOTE: This is not a criticism of Jared Goff but rather a compliment to McVay
Not counting games where either missed and a backup played....
McVay w/Goff (2017-2020; 16 game seasons): 43-21 (Regular season) 3-3 (Postseason) 3 Postseasons, 2 Div. Titles, 1 Conference Title, Record in Dec/Jan including PS (15-11)
McVay w/Stafford (2021-2024; 17 game seasons): 37-31 (Regular season) 5-1 (Postseason) 3 Postseasons, 2 Div Titles, 1 Conference Title, 1 Lombardi, Record in Dec/Jan including PS (22-7)
