Sure they'll sell some gear if they go that route, parents will buy stuff for their kids but the Rams won't really be capitalizing on the opportunity. And the Rams want to make a big splash with new uniforms when they move into the new stadium in 2009.So what to do?I say we switch our throwbacks to the blue and whites and wear them every game for the next three years. Sales will be insane. You have the nostalgia, something that says L.A. and a uniform that will only be used for 3 years, an instant collector's item. Then in 2009 you switch to the new uniforms which will no doubt be strikingly different and much more colorful than the blue and whites so you still get your shock and awe to go with the new stadium. And you get to recreate the 1973 excitement of restoring yellow to the uniform.Problem solved... If you change uniform colors then you have to change everything. From a Rams jacket to a pencil to a bed cover sheet for the kids. It could obviously happen with a finger snap but I think it's a money grab. They'll milk LA with the gold colors and then change up and milk us again. It makes perfect business sense. I understand most of us are sick of the fucking gold but a lot of soon to be Rams fans are just getting their feet wet. The blue and gold is new to them. Elvis' idea is good because of the approval for the throwbacks and the nostalgic B&W's being what most of us first saw. Also his reasoning for the reemergence of the colors in Inglewood. Heck I'd take all royal blue or all white compared to the copper metal flake gold and blueberry Patriots wannabe pajamas they have worn for the last decade or so. I also think that you can only wear throwbacks 2 or 3 times per year. But, it seems crazy that the NFL wouldn't bend the rules in this situation.I can't believe the Rams are going to just roll out the same unis as they wore in St Louis. I know they want to make a splash with the new stadium in 2019 but three years is a long time to wait. Personally, I love the blue and whites. From what I've heard, it seems like we will be wearing them at least twice this year. But I love the idea of wearing them all season.
