I know most will disagree but the Rams match up well vs the Bills. What skews the stats is they lost so much of their offense early in the season, and the defense was mostly rookies and second year players. So I'm going by "eye" test on how they are both playing now.

The Bills are primarily a passing offense much like the Rams, but more so. They have a decent RB but Williams is better. What is surprising is both their offense and defense are middle of the road in their rankings. Their 9-2 record is strange because like the Rams they tend to play to the level of the competition. Also, it's worth noting that they are 4-2 on away games. They could easily have 4 losses. They squeaked by both Miami and AZ.

If McVay can get the offense untracked early, the Rams will stand a good chance of beating them. Both of the Bills losses were to the Texans and Ravens, both of whom are currently 8-5. Allen is a streaky player, who is known as much for his head scratching decision making as much as for his highlight plays.

IMO the Bills are very much the type of team the Rams will deal with in the playoffs so this will be a good test to see how they measure up. I figure if a couple of 8-5 teams could beat the Bills the Rams should be able to. Both of those teams have a strong passing attack.

Win this coming Sunday and the Rams will be set to sweep the rest of the season.

Depends on which team shows up. Will it be first half N.O. or second half N.O.? If it's second half N.O. they have to be that for 60 minutes.

The bills dont have the RB's we have faced the last two games, but they have Josh Allen which has been a problem for us in the past (0-2).

The Bills are playing the best football in the AFC, it will take our best game to have a chance. If we could get a turnover or two and we have a shot.

The Rams should play loose in this game, not expected to win, I think we play better as the underdog, will see.

Their RB is pretty good. He may not be as good as his brother once was but....

It's an NFL game. It won't be snowing. We have a chance.

I'm not gonna say we have to play like we did in the second half yesterday (but it wouldn't hurt). We just have to eliminate the 3 and outs, score some TDs, don't turn over the ball, play good D and get a takeaway or two.

Their WRs don't freighten anybody.

Uhh, we need a close to perfect game to beat the Bills and need to not only create 2 turnovers, but score off them. Cannot turn it over on O and like PA also said, gotta eliminate 3 n outs. They need to be at 60% or better on 3rd down and hold the Bills to under 40% on 3rd down. If we can , for ONCE get a decent lead, we should be able to diminish their offense to some degree. If we fall behind early, it will be a long and humbling day. The Bills are beatable. But the Rams will have to play their best game of the year by far. We will see if they can. I am expecting to lose by 7+ as I don’t trust the inconsistencies to get “fixed” this week.
Hope I am dead wrong.

Uh. I’m a homer and think we’ve have the talent to go against the best. But for whatever reason we haven’t put it together this year. (I think it’s the OL+play calling).

The Bills have scored 30 or more in just about every game this season and the Rams have scored 30 once!

So offense needs to show up to their full potential and the D needs to show they are the class of the NFC.

I’m hopeful, however.

I can't see a win here, but certainly hope so! My hopes are in beating the Jets, SF, Arizona and Seahawks to end the season with a 4 game streak. The guarantees a division winner home playoff game for us.

The Bills have played 12 games. 10 of them they scored 30 or more. We have a young, mistake prone defense. There is talent there so they do have playmakers on defense. But expecting it for 60 minutes is asking a lot.

Offensively we're averaging 21 points per game. Our line is inconsistent. They're capable of playing well enough. We'll see how they do next week. Maybe another game will help with the chemistry? Stafford is playing well enough. 17 TD's to 7 INT's. 94 QB rating. One thing he does have a knack for is making plays late in games.

Buffalo just clinched their division. Yeah, they still want a shot at the top seed. But you have to wonder if there will be a bit of a letdown after accomplishing their first goal. Maybe overlooking a 6-6 team?

Grabbing Forbes could be a difference maker. Not speaking in the immediate short term, but long term. He came in raw for a 1st round pick and has taken time to develop. CB is far harder to acclimate to the NFL from the collegiate game. The potential route combinations that need to be considered and results in slow play by the CB until he fully grasps the techniques required.

But he has excellent length and speed for a CB. Eventually, he could be the answer opposite Durant next year. He's a CB with the physical attributes you want in a boundary CB but he played a lot of zone in college. As such it's where he is most comfortable. I think Shula is looking at is whether he can play in a match zone scheme. With his size and speed, he appears to be a much better match for the tall, fast WRs the Rams face.

I think this was a signing with an eye on next year as much as if the Rams can get into the playoffs. If Forbes can develop into a boundary starter, it fills a crucial hole in the secondary, meaning they can then focus upon SCB long term. In the short term, if Forbes can play on the boundary it allows Shula to move Williams to SCB (where he originally started with the Rams) thereby allowing Lake to return to his safety role where he's best played.
