Week 10: Monday Night Football!
Dolphins at Rams

The 3 week winning streak has given us life ... onto getting the 4th win.

Dolphins are currently 2-6, but they gave the Bills some troubles last week before losing the game. Rams are only 2.5 favorites at home.

Rams have played the Dolphins 14 times and have only won twice (1976 & 2001).

Go Rams!

I'm curious to see how McVay approaches this one. Miami has a prolific offense with quick strike ability. Typically, teams attempt to slow down that offense by keeping them on the sidelines. But Buffalo only ran 19 times last weekend (and gained 94 yards / 4.9 ypc). Arizona ran 26 times at a 3.2 pace in a win. Indy ran 37 and Tennessee ran 40 times in wins. All I can say to our defense is put pressure on Tua (he was only sacked once, very early in the game) but by all means, get those arms up and keep some passes from getting past the LOS.

Pass rush will be key, unfortunately for Tua we have to get after him and quick.
Also Achane has been going crazy, going to be hard to keep a lid on that dude.

Like Param says running the ball and maintaining possession is also key.

If Avila and J Jax or one of them get up and can play, it should change our ability to really run the ball effectively. We will see how the reports come this week.

If Avila can go but JJ can't, it'll be AJ, Avila, Limmer, Dotson, Noteboom or McClendon RT
If JJ can go but Avila can't, it'll be AJ, JJ, Limmer, Dotson, Noteboom or McClendon at RT
If they can both go, it'll be AJ, Avila, JJ, Dotson and Noteboom or McClendon at RT
If neither can go, it'll be AJ, Dedich, Limmer, Dotson and Noteboom or McClendon at RT

Here's our starting OL week by week

Noteboom, Avila, J Jackson, Dotson, McClendon .... LOST

McClendon, J Jackson, Limmer, Dotson, Havenstein ..... LOST

A Jackson, Bruss, Limmer, Dotson, Havenstein*..... WON
A Jackson, Bruss, Limmer, Dotson, Havenstein **.....LOST
A Jackson, Bruss, Limmer, Dotson, Havenstein ***.....LOST

A Jackson, Dedich, Limmer, Dotson, Havenstein*.....WON
A Jackson, Dedich, Limmer, Dotson, Havenstein**....WON
A Jackson, Dedich, Limmer, Dotson, Havenstein***....WON

This week? Actually, 4 different combos the first 8 games is a lot better than 2022!!! 5 in 9 is approaching 2022. But at least we've had two 3 game runs with the same starting 5. IMO, you start the best 5 who are healthy. And I think that's the way the coaches will roll.

Agreed. But dang, looking at the last 3 games….dont mess without?? lol. No, Avila is an upgrade as is J Jax. Bummer Havs is out. Hopefully by the Philly game we have the planned 5 on the field and totally healthy.

IMO the Dolphins can play far better than their record would seem to reflect. They have Tua back and that changes the entire dynamic of their offense. The Ram defense must continue to play their A game. The offense needs to get untracked earlier. The strength of the Dolphins IMO is their defense. They are especially good against the pass.

If the Miami D has a weakness it's in run defense. That is where getting Jackson or Avila back to play LG would be huge. The Rams need to run the ball well enough to be a legit threat with their ground game. IMO people need to understand there were reasons that Jackson was moved to center and Avila to LG and IMO it had to do with the run game. Avila can be a dominant LG when playing the position both in the run and passing game. Jackson is a good OG but not close to dominant. We haven't see enough of him at center to know what you are getting there. You can't equate play at OG and play at center, they both are different positions. If Avila can't go on Monday, absolutely I would play Jackson at LG if he is ready. I would feel much better if Jackson is going to play center the rest of the season for him to have his first game to be against the Pats. The chemistry between center and QB is very real with a lot of areas where it can go wrong. Center is not a position you want to rush a guy into, especially if he's been basically a OG for his career.

Jackson's contract reflects the Rams' view of him as a bridge player or their desire to see how good he is before committing to him as a long-term starter.

The Rams should win but the Rams have a tendency to play down to their opponents that they should dominate. If the Rams lose it will be because of tripping over themselves in one or more phases of the game.

Consistency on offense, defense and STs will be the key for the Rams the rest of the season.
