….or this season is over..No shite, we were lucky to pull out the OT Win against a Seahawks team we could not stop without DK Metcalf and their best TE.

Durant, Witherspoon, and Williams have all had their good days but this was collectively and individually their worst. McCollough & Kinchens came through and I can ride with Williams but the trade deadline is Tuesday. I honestly don’t care who we have to trade to get a decent CB.

I don't see it that way. It wouldn't surprise me if they did trade for a CB but I don't expect it. Durant's development was stunted by Morris who benched him. Otherwise he'd be a lot further along in his development. He's flashed enough to show he has the talent to be a good CB. He's good enough for them to bench White, and to play ahead of Witherspoon. They are giving him a lot of experience that will serve him well next year. If they sign a CB next year I think it will be a FA or they will draft one probably on the second day.

I think their real need is at LT, QB1, CB, ILB, WR and perhaps a true #3 RB. I see them drafting another WR because I don't expect them to keep Kupp. If a WR is going to be traded IMO it will be Atwell. I have to wonder if they have talked to the Chargers who desperately need a good WR.

I also see them using an early day 3 pick on a RB because 2025 would be Kyren's contract year and I doubt they would extend him. Like I said, previously, I doubt they would have even entertained the trade inquiries regarding Kupp if Stafford was a lock to be on the team. I think they could be looking at both Darnold and Cam Robinson as both will be UFA next year.

The more I look at Robinson the more I like what I see in him. I originally equated him to be basically an older more experience Alaric Jackson type of OT. But he's much better. He's got strength, good feet and experience. Robinson is also far and away a better run blocker. Getting him would be similar to what they did when they signed Whitworth though Whit is a HOF level talent. But the Rams would get an experienced LT for an affordable contract and at the same time upgrade the talent at the position.

This roster is still evolving and IMO will be completely different next year. I don't see them extending Atwell but they might work out a trade with the Renters who badly need a good WR. Tutu could be their equivalent of St Brown. I see Smith being extended and moving up to #4WR behind Nacua, Whittington and Robinson.

I don't know how long Havenstein will be out but I can see them using the time to see if McClendon would be a viable starter at RT. So yeah I see this roster still evolving but not via trade this season.

I think you missed my point. All your solutions are for the draft and 2025. If you see starting Durant next week against Hill, he won’t be trailing him like he did Smith all day, he won’t even be in the frame when Miami scores. BTW, McClendon was a disaster in reserve of Havs earlier this year and almost got Stafford killed.

I think it's getting pretty close to the point we're only gonna need coverage for 2.5 seconds. This pass rush is going to get better and that almost always improves coverage. A WR with 4.3 speed will get about 22 yards downfield in 2.5 seconds.

But let's look at the last 4 weeks......3-1; under 20 ppg allowed.......we"ve made it close because our offense isn't seperating enough while they can. Our offense has scored 31 points in the first half the last 4 weeks. A tick better than 7 points in the first half ain't good. If it wasn't for our DBs we'd be 1-3 instead of 3-1 over that time.

The defense has scored 23 points the last 4 games and set the offense up well with picks. Against LV the defense gave them the ball at the Raiders 31 and 47. Thankfully our offense capitalized with TDs on both drives. Yesterday, they gave them the ball at midfield and we punted. The defense is playing extremely well, mainly because of the pass rush and the secondary play.

The 4 games prior to yesterday, the defense allowed 185 yards per game through the air with 10 sacks and 4 picks. Yeah, we need to replace a CB or two! :roll2:

with Tua that ball will be coming out immediately, the phins have to be concerned with our multifaceted pass rush, should be fun. Got to get home or the Phins will hurt us with those weapons.

Trade deadline is tomorrow.

They have not been a team willing to spend lately, curious to see if/how that changes...

Rams fans say our weakness is ILB or CB (and I'd add TE at the moment) but we'll see what management thinks about that in the next 48 hours.

I fully agree and I'm not talking about an ELITE CB. Man, ANY CB who can cover for 2 seconds. Outside of Williams we simply don't have one and our DBs weren't exactly tasked with covering elite WRs. Even their TE dropped a few. If we have to trade Tu Tu, Robinson, or even Kupp, I love them all and Robinson prolly had the best catch or the day and has gotten no love from the networks on that amazing finish and one handed grab for a walk-off OT victory. As good as Flipper's in OT against the Giants and maybe just as meaningful. I don't have faith in the Rams FO wanting to make a trade, having a guy they want, or even getting value for it but Tu Tu will likely be gone for another bag-a-chips. We almost lost that game due to EJ in the middle and giving all our info to the Seahawks. We pulled it out. We will likely give a player the door and get nothing in return because the FO only likes to make the big splash and there isn't one but with TB, NO, Denver, LV , NY and others imploding you'd think we could scrape one CB deal together.....

Man, that's a stretch! We almost (you know the saying about 'close' and quoits or grenades) lost that game due to the performance of their DL and CBs. I'd put EJ as #3......... if I didn't take into consideration our special teams and OL.
