No doubt.

Oh and the only one of those teams they've played. They won that game.

Bye week and hopefully soom players will be back from IR to help.

It's not over yet. 12 games left.

Edit: I so want to forget the Cardinals loss. I've apparently already erased it from my memory. 8-)

The defense held Jacobs to 3.8 ypc.
They scored a TD.
They have a pass rush.
That one freak play early when the WR caught the ball between 3 guys hurt and definitely the 2 picks by #9 and fumble by Kyren.
We'll get better because we have talent and good coaching. And the West is T-I-G-H-T.
Also, not to be forgotten, Karty makes the PAT and we're looking for a FG to tie at the end.

What are you all smoking? This defense if fucking horrid. They can’t tackle can’t cover. Can’t get off the field when it matters. And NONE of the returning injured guys are in D. So you better hope by some miracle the Rams can start scoring 30+. They got a gift pick 6 today. Otherwise, blow out.

Seriously. This team is BAD. Mostly the D. But the O isn’t very good either.

We are lucky this division also sucks. But does it even matter? You can’t win against the best with this defense.

I'm smoking oil. But what does that have to do with it?

We're 1-4. That sucks. But our division sucks. BTW, our defense doesn't have to "get healthy", they just have to get better. We have a good pass rush. We'll get Speights in there soon. And we'll get better on D. Our offense does have to get healthy and they could be a force once they get there. Which should help the defense to a degree. But if you want to start watching hockey, that's your choice. I'll see how it plays out after the bye.

Nice!!

However, let’s say they split in division. Now we’re at 4 wins. Find me 6 more on their schedule. Like you said, we will see once we get guys back. But there are only 4 maybe 5 quality players on D. And if the coaches won’t play Speights or Hummel after watching reeder and rose boom miss tackle after tackle and be out of position constantly, why would that change???

And, we won’t get help at LG or OC any time soon. So our passing game is limited. Kupp will help for sure but coach will over use him and get him hurt again most likely. Puka is done for another month. I really am an optimist. But also a realist. They won’t get enough guys back soon enough to make a difference and they just keep dropping winnable games in the meantime. Unless the divisions stays dogshit, 10 wins are mandatory. And finally, if they make the playoffs, do you think this D can stop anyone??

Look at me the optimist, talking about playoffs when at 1-4 we have the tie for worst record in the league. Lmao.

I'm smoking a Tri-Tip Steak.

Truth is they will get players back and get a week off as well. You don't have to go very far back to see the results after the bye can be season changing.

I can't see the future so I don't know what's going to happen.

I think.....

the defense will improve. A lot. Like they said today, Shula is trying to get a young defense to buy into the system.
Surely this bye comes at a great time. We're the 2nd youngest team in the league behind Green Bay.
Our offense will be better with Kupp and then Puka. Plus McVay finally decided to use Corum a little today (and he ran well) so hopefully that increases.
I don't know the prognosis for our injured O lineman.

Hey, maybe you're right. Maybe we'll be the whale shit of the league. I'm not ready to throw in the towell yet.

I’m not really throwing in the towel. Just being what I believe is realistic based on what I have seen.

We don’t get OL back, except balsa wood Noteboom for another 4-6 weeks so between Miami and Philly games, Kupp by either the Raiders game or Minnesota. Puka by probably Miami.

The thing is, to stay in this race they have to win basically every game affording themselves 3 possible losses between now and week 18.

That is a tall task and hard to see happening.

But it could.
