Ive had STs since they came back. And on Sunday there were 70% SF fans. Last year at the Pitt game was the same.

It seems that nearly all STs have been sold by the Rams. So how are the opp fans getting all these tix?

I find it hard to believe that so many people bought Rams STs, just to resell them every week.

Even if youre a transplant living in LA, and you bought Rams STs to see your team, the max you get in the season is 1 game and the chances of that are low year to year unless youre a SF AZ or Sea fan. So I dont think there are a lot of people in that boat.

So how is it nearly every week, the opp fans are at least 40% on any given sunday for a Rams game at SoFi?

I do believe (sadly) there are many LA born SF fans. And since there was not NFL in LA for 20 years, they somehow picked SF as a team. And these are the same people who are Lakers and Dodgers fans and cant stand the Warriors and Giants. But they somehow accept the 49ers. And so....where and how are these fans getting all these tickets?

I fully expect the same when the Raiders and Eagles play later this year.

I think they knew it would likely take a whole new generation of fans to win them back. They lose a whole generation being gone for 21 years.

Think about it. When you're reaching the age where you start following football and pick a team, what if your city does not have a team? You pick a successful team around the league. Other than the 3 year GSOT stretch the Rams were not successful.

As far as the 49er fans are concerned, once they slide back to mediocrity and are no longer relevant I doubt we will see them overtake the stadium like the last few years. That slide could start as soon as this year.

I don't know that this is any consolation, but it's not just the Rams. It's happening more and more around the league.

I watched the Lions at Cardinals game and saw tons of Lions fans on TV. I mean, it's no surprise that there would be a number of opposing fans at the Cardinals' stadium, but who knew that Detroit fans traveled that well?

I wonder how many teams have a true home field advantage - 10, 20?? Go to a Kings, Lakers, or Dodgers game - they all have a HF advantage, especially in the playoffs. Like snack said, it will take a generation to change that. They are 7 years in. Probably another 10 to go. But SB trophies will accelerate that for sure. 1 down 2+ to go!!!! Get one this year by some miracle and I think next season it really starts to flip.

It is a bummer to watch and hear on TV. Can’t imagine how bad it sucks in person.

A lot of the season tickets were bought by ticket agencies/other businesses, not even part time fair weather fans, straight up businesses.

Yes about 40% of all seats are ticket agency’s or investments with no fandom. About 20% are fans of other teams like the 9ers, Seahawks, and Cardinals. Balance are Rams fans to some extent. But know several pretty good fans but they always sell their top 3 highest priced games that pay for the season.
Judging by prices, there will be more GB fans than 9er fans next game their jerseys just don’t stick out as much.
I may sell one a year. But sometimes none.
Plenty of Rams fans to fill the stadium. Go to any less popular team and it’s all Rams fans but the big fanbases out bid us.

That’s true from an offensive operational standpoint. It also makes defensive communication easier. So some built in operational advantages.

When it matters, late in the season and playoffs, I sure hope they get our local fan support, live.

Also, for the Rams to build a generational fan base, they have to keep winning. Winning fixes a lot for things. Except, it seems, during whiner week.

Some good points being made. No football team in LA for about 2 decades is a big one.
But also....it's LA... entertainment capital of the world essentially.
So, many of those tix are snatched up by businesses or used for promotional shit, etc.

If I was from out of town, I would damn sure make the game a part of vacation plans.
Fly in... stay at a nice hotel, see the sights, hit the beach, maybe Disneyland, then the game to watch my team on Sunday. You think folks are falling over themselves trying to book a trip to Baltimore to see their team play? How about Green Bay or Cleveland? Hell no.
