I love reading whiner tears on their board. They were so confident most the game. Then it turned to nervous. Then agony. :lol2: :twisted2:

Its amazing how many of them want Shanahan fired. Sure, he chokes in big games. But he's brilliant offensive mind. I hope they fire him. I can see them mired in mediocrity for years to come if they do.

They got a lot of big contracts due the next couple years. Then they have to pay Purdy minimum 50 mil. Probably more. The window is closing. Might already be closed. They're getting older. And they gotta pay those older guys a lot of money.

The niners certainly arent dead yet, they have way too much talent. BUT yes next year the cap and Purdy is gonna be a thing. I also think that the years of going deep into the playoffs is starting to show up in the older players availability and overall performance.

I hope they fire him, too. He'd be unemployed for about 5 minutes, but he'd be out of the NFC West.

To add injury to insult, looks like Hargraves is done for the season.

Hargrave done. McCaffrey's headed to see a specialist in Germany for his achilles injury. That sure sounds like its worse than they thought. Deebo and Kittle getting dinged up.

Kupp injured too. Him and Kittle are 31. Just something about that age where injuries are more frequent. You can do a lot to keep your body in great shape. But you can't beat father time.

In addition to Aiyuk, TB lost Godwin for the year and Evans with a hamstring in one game. SF has the rookie to step up after missing 7 weeks after being shot in the chest. The Rams got the injury bug early and no idea when Avila or Nacua will be back but this year looks to be a bad one historically for the NFL.
