Since they are already 0-2. Last year they were as worse as 3-6 before winning 7 out of 8 to make the playoffs. I think last year though they werent as injury plagued as they currently are through these 2 games. And 4 of those losses during that 3-6 start they were very competitive in.

The bad thing is multiple injuries.
The good thing is our bye comes extremely EARLY.

Stranger things have happened.
For anyone who remembers the 1979 team.....
19 players injured, and 3 different starting QB's.
They were blown out by Tampa Bay and Dallas in the regular season but got revenge against both in the playoffs.
They made it to the SB and almost upset the Steelers.
And Waddy is still open in the end zone.........

Then again, a 5-12 season might put them in position to draft Drew Allar!

If they're gonna turn it around they will need at least one win before the bye. It won't be easy. 1-3 makes it a tough road. Less room for error. And if they lose today that's 3 NFC tiebreakers they won't have. Go 0-4 and might as well pack it up.

I think they must be 2-3 at the bye considering the NFC losses you referenced. This is going to be one weird season. Hell, has already started that way.

This defense is really bad. I don't see a turnaround. Its not like the offense where some key players will be returning to help them. What you see is what you get with the defense. A poor tackling team who makes too many mistakes in pass defense. Right now they are by far the worse defense in the league. And I don't see that changing any time soon.

Held the whiners to 3 in the second half. My bad. Held them to 10. But 24 overall with some very bad coverage breakdowns and stupid penalties. Pass rushers need to learn how to get back under control once they beat their blocker. More whiffs today than at a softball game for the blind.
And the coverage simply has to get better. They got torched again multiple times.
But a dub is a dub.
