Some positive news for a change.

Torry Holt has been eligible for the Pro Football Hall of Fame since 2014, five years after he retired from the NFL. Yet, he’s still waiting to hear his name called in Canton.

The Rams legend hopes this will be the year he gets into the Hall of Fame after being a finalist in each of the last five years. On Wednesday, the initial list of nominees for the Class of 2025 was released and Holt is one of a few former Rams eligible for the Hall of Fame.

In addition to Holt, Steven Jackson, Marc Bulger and London Fletcher are all on the nominee list for the next class. Former Rams cornerback Aqib Talib is a first-time nominee, as well.

Steven Jackson is the most UNDER-rated Ram of all time. Total stud who had to play on some really shitty teams we fielded. Always busted his ass! Remember when we went 1-15 under Fish? That season, mid year, Steven led us to our only victory at Detroit. He was really fired up. Then we lost a bunch more games in a row. IF he hadn't carried our sorry asses on his back, WE would have the all-time longest losing streak in NFL history.

I do not, no. Not under Fisher I don't.

I don't think Jackson is ever getting in.

It was 2-14. Cleveland missed a gimmie field goal at the end to gift us the victory. And we lost out on Luck.

I felt Holt should have gotten in last year before Hester and Johnson, IMO

He should get in this year!!!!

Jackson, even though I think he is one of the RAMs all-time best RB,
he was just on bad teams during his time. This is why I feel he won't get in.
His only possible chance would be in the senior circuit way.

There are 17 RBs with more career yards than SJ and 14 are in the HOF. The 3 who aren't?

Frank Gore 16,000 yards in 16 years; 1,000 yards/yr (eligible in 2025)
Adrian Peterson 14,918 in 15 years; 995 yards/yr (eligible in 2026)
Fred Taylor 11,695 in 13 years; 900 yards/yr (retired in 2010; eligible the last 9 years)
SJ................11,438 in 12 years; 952 yards/yr

NFL players sometimes hang too long. Peterson was a stud with Minnesota (95 yards per game/ 1174 yards per year). But he was a hanger-on. 40 games, 41 yards per game over a 5 year period. Gore was a stud with SF (74.8 yds/g...1107 yards/yr). He wasn't as good with Indy for 3 years but still decent (64.5 yds/g; 984 yds/yr). But with Buffalo, the Jets and Miami he played 45 games, averaged 43.8 yds/g. Another hanger-on.

Taylor and SJ spent the least amount of time being a hanger-on (Taylor 2 years in New England; 13 games, 32.5 yds/g. SJ 2 yrs in Atlanta; 27 games, 46 yds/g, then 2 games with New England 25 ypg). In my book that counts for something. He wasn't padding his numbers for 3 years like Gore or 5 years like AP. But only the voters know. SJ averaged 1126 yards per year with the Rams, an absolutely shitty team his entire time there. He was the offense.

As they said on the McVay show, Kupp is now #3 all time for the Rams having passed Hirsch. McVay asked how far away from Ike and Torry he was and they told him "a long way. Which indicates Holt should be in the HOF". Kupp is 19 away from Torry, 29 away from Ike.
