I admire SM's belief that he can "will it"

After watching SMs presser, thats what I take away from it. He truly believes he can "will" a team to get better and win. He has to, right? For himself, his staff and just to get through the season. The problem is, just like 2022, the Ls are going to pile-up and no one is going to buy it or want to listen to it.

There is a reason that not all contracts are equal. Like in every area of life, there are those that are just better and can do what the rest cant. Right now the Rams roster simply doesnt have the talent to compete. The QB, OL and WR spots are everything in todays game. Sure, QB is ok. But the rest is nowhere near good enough. All the will in the world isnt going to change that. If CK is gone, I can only imagine what is going to be going through MSs mind.

Rams went from playing the best ball in the NFL at the end of last year to looking like a minor league team.

And its not AD just being gone. Ari would have blown out LA yesterday no matter what.

Last 5 years

only 2/32 teams starting 0-2 made playoffs
only 5/32 teams starting 0-2 ended up at .500 or better

Chances are Rams are going to be 0-3. Just brutal.

So, the injuries. Is it just really bad luck? Or, is it the approach Rams have for camp, practices and preseason that ironically they believe will keep players healthy.

Sure feels like this is going to be one of the biggest "what if" seasons in Rams history.

Kupp is going to miss significant time. The whiner game could be uglier than the AZ game. All these rookies/new guys don’t get the intensity of the rivalry and how much Shanny enjoys beating MCV. They are going to crush the Rams.

There was a time when the 9ers thought they'd crush the Rams ... and they were wrong. Can history repeat itself?

To be honest, while expectations were high they were not as high as 2022. We were coming off a Superbowl win. We thought we'd cruise through the season to another appearance. Then the injuries kept piling up.

The thing about that season. It almost made McVay leave and go to the booth. If this is another season like that one will McVay stick around? Or will he bail on the sinking ship? If so will Stafford join him? Kupp?
