Rams were originally 2.5 point favorites but now AZ is favored by 1, 1.5 or 2 depending where you look.

Weather is going to be much more civilized this week in Woodland Hills so that should be an issue.

The Oline injuries OTOH...

Ya. Practice updates should be interesting to say the least. Don't know how they can prepare with so many unknowns on the OL.

I will be more than a little worried if we host the 9ers at 0-2.

Well it's clear that the Rams will start Ty Nsekhe at LT. He hasn't played in two years. But he was a rock in 2022. They definitely could have done worse.

The Rams lost to a good Detroit team. The Cardinals are only dangerous if you allow them to be. They are basically the same team they were last year.

With Nsekhe at LT I feel better about things. Jackson back at LG, Limmer played well at center once again. Dotson is dinged but they have Bruss who looked much improved in preseason. McClendon is on the verge of locking down the starting position at RT long term if continues to play well. Nsekhe gives them a bridge OT until Alaric and Noteboom return.

They signed career backup OT McDermott for a reason despite knowing he will be IR all year. I see him as their swing OT for the next few seasons.

Verse looked good in Detroit. I was surprised but not shocked when I saw he had as many QB pressures as Hutchinson and considering the Lions were playing against a makeshift OL. No question in my mind Verse is the real deal. When Fiske puts it together those two will be dangerous as hell. Kyler won't be able to sit back there waiting for dropped coverage with this front. The LBs need to contain him and force him to throw from a tight pocket which is not his game. The defense looks like it could be ahead of their developmental expectations.

With Johnson and Whittington the Rams are still looking very good at WR. The OL injuries took the Rams out of their run game. But I see that returning this week. With a balanced attack they should control the game.

When it comes to the Oline this depth chart is lacking, uh, depth. Tyler Johnson listed as a starter...

This game is going to be a good warmup for the remade OL. The real test will be in week 3 vs the Niners.

Alaric Jackson should be back at LT against the Niners. With Jackson back at LG, Limmer at center, Dotson at RG and McClendon at RG the OL should hold up enough for the offense to operate close to where they want it to. They will have a week of working together so that will help. Sean can now gameplan according to who he has playing.

Next week with Nsekhe at swing OT, McAllister at backup center and Bruss as swing OG they hopefully have the guys they can play through to the break. With the bye week coming early it should be a huge benefit for the health and development of this OL.

It's going to be interesting to watch how well this makeshift OL plays. AZ has enough talent to provide a good gauge in pass protection and run blocking.

If Havs isnt back by the niner game something is seriously off about the ankle. He should be back THIS week.

The new guy we signed will probably end up being the backup center if he can get up to speed quickly enough.

The Rams were never able to really go to the run against Detroit for various reasons. I expect the Rams to be very run heavy against the Cards as that has been something the Rams have exploited in the past. I expect a big day for Kyren, Blake and Ronnie.

We always destroy the Cardinals Kyren had a career day rushing against them.

You know how you stop Kyler you run the ball. Run Run Run the ball.

Look for Kupp to have a big game also Jordan Winnigrton.

Key factors Arizona Jonah Williams out

The trenches will be a huge factor. Look for Jerod Verse Kolby Turner and Fiske to eat early and often.

We were going against the best offensive line in football in Detroit. Different here.

I like the linebackers containing Kyler.

Gotta watch Marvin Harrison Jr. he’s gonna eat cause they are going to feed him. Maybe give Tredeveous White some help.

I think the defensive line will wreck the game for Kyler.

Our side run Kyren if he gets gassed get Blake Corynoum in there. Just keep running the ball. Play the time of possession and keep these guys off the field. Don’t want to be in a situation where’s Arizona has the ball last. That can’t happen.

These are the games where you lean on your head coach I think Sean Mcvay will have a very good game plan in place for the Rams.
