Limmer got banged up and came out of the game, but when he played he looked good. Big dude with big ass shoulder pads. He just might be second on the depth chart at the OL Center position.

Logan Bruss and AJ Acuri played the entire game and both looked very good. Has Bruss finally turned the corner after a devastating knee injury in his rookie season. He also might be second on the depth chart at the OL Guard position.

Feeling better about the OL after reading some bad news after the Charger and Cowboy scrimmages.

I could see Bruss pushing Leviton to the PS. Bruss looked good in the camp day I watched and he looked good in the game.

Also, It think they carry 10. And only 6 at WR

I don't see them carrying 10 on my initial prediction for the 53-man roster,

Plus, Leveston is more of the OL coach type of player,

a big power player, 6-4, 336lb and he seems like a guy that can move for his size,

like plays for pulling guards.

I am basing it off the tapes from what I have seen from KT.

I feel the RAMs will start the season carrying 24 offensive & 26 defensive & 3 ST players.

The reason why carrying more defensive players, is because they are young,

Whereas we have more experience veteran players on the offensive side of the ball,

to cover the shortage compared to the defense,

plus having more players from the defense can play on ST.

Probably accurate on more D over O. I have seen a bunch of Leveston and agree. Just think Bruss has done a lot, looked good, and was a pretty high pick. Not sure someone would poach KT off the PS, think they would grab Bruss. But I could be wrong. Unless they carry 10. Would have to go light on RBs (3) to stick with your math in that case.

I guess we will see.

Limmer's play is no surprise to me. This guy is a legit talent at center. He's got a mean streak in the run game that is evident. As I've posted previously, Limmer allows the Rams the luxury of temporarily shifting Avila back to LG if needed. With Jackson's history of injuries that is a good option to have.

This is the best I've seen Acuri play. He gives them an option at OT to Noteboom at swing. Bruss in all fairness last year he was thrown into the fire. He's obviously worked hard and it's showing. He looked pretty good as a depth player.

If Acuri and Bruss continue to show this improvement it bodes well for the Ram's OL depth. Thomas even played well though against lesser talent. Regardless it showed improvement.

I have a feeling that quite a few of our cuts will be playing in the NFL on other teams.

#Rams LG Zach Thomas was graded as the 3rd overall OL per PFF, RG Logan Bruss was graded at the 6th. In terms of pass protection grade Logan Bruss led the NFL, Zach Thomas finished 4th and Beaux Limmer cracked the top 10 at 9th. Wicked good stuff from the young Rams OL

According to Pro Football Focus, Bruss had the highest pass-blocking grade among all offensive linemen in Week 1 of the preseason. He simply looked dominant in pass protection with nobody able to gain much ground on him. In the run game, it was Bruss’ strength that really stood out. It may be too little too late for Bruss, but Sunday’s game against the Cowboys was a positive.

OL Beaux Limmer

Limmer played 44 snaps on Sunday and was the third-highest graded center in pass protection according to Pro Football Focus.</p>
However, he also displayed good strength and ability in the run game before he left due to an injury. The Rams need someone that they can rely on as a backup center on the depth chart behind Steve Avila. Limmer showed plenty of positive moments and it will be interesting to see if the Rams get him some work at guard over the next two weeks.

As we know, reports out of the scrimmages were that the injury-replacement OL was a mess.

Then they played well as a unit in the pre-season game.

Now granted that's a pre-season game going against the 2s on defense, but still, that's a dramatic reversal in a short time.

To me, the way I take that, is it's yet one more confirmation that coach Wendell is a great OL coach. He got his injury-replacement unit up to speed quickly. And yes it's a pre-season game but the OL they fielded did not include a single starter...and to get them up to speed he had to turn things around quickly.

Obviously, the fact that the 2s on OL can play well in the pre-season is probably a decent indication that the Rams have effective OL depth. Which is something they have not had for a long, long time.

Interesting stuff on Bruss.

Bruss was already on PS last year. Unless we think he improved so much on tape this preseason, we might be able to get away with stashing him on the PS again...
