Finnegan says Fisher knew 3 years ago.

Not that I'm surprised but it's interesting to realize that I could have kept more hair in my head having known for sure myself. lol
Talking to Finnegan can sometimes bring the unexpected, and Finnegan was true to form near the end of Carolina’s media session Thursday.
When asked if he was surprised about the Rams’ relocation to Los Angeles, Finnegan replied: “Not surprised. I knew it was coming two, three years ago. They had already said it was gonna happen. We knew.”
Finnegan said the “they” he was referring to was Fisher.
“He said that two or three years ago,” Finnegan said. “I think that’s the reason he stuck with it because he knew. Because they knew they were gonna make that transition (to Los Angeles).”

I have no doubt the plans were being laid several years ago. But it wasn't a sure thing until the vote. I think Finnegan would be more accurate if he said "I knew they were going to try and move". Unless they had inside NFL information that no one else had back then.

I think it's been pretty clear that this has been coming, with the NFL's blessing, for a long time.
The Spanos resistance was a legitimate unexpected factor that came into play late.
The NFL bylaws were never an issue...

What does he mean here... "stuck with it". What is "it"?

Yeah, that doesn't make sense. He's not going to resign when he's making 7 million a year. The good chance to move to LA and coach the LA Rams was the main reason he took the job (he grew up an LA Rams fan).

It certainly could be why Kroenke has stuck with Fisher but not sure that works the other way around...

Alrighty then.
So......
Does this have an affect on planning? Like take the time to build a top tier defense. Then move. And now lets go all in on offense which thrills the crowds more than defense?
I can't say I wouldn't think that way.
Kind of a conspiracy theory I know. But it was going to take years to rebuild this team anyways.
This may be an interesting offseason.

And who is he? I was quoting CF but it does imply that either Fisher or Kroenke had reservations about something. ESK couldn't have been to disappointed because in Finnegan's seasons under Fish here the team showed marked improvement over the previous seasons.
As 82 pointed out, I can't see why Fish would imply he had to stick anything out @ $7M per. That's a million dollars per W avg. Yikes.
My guess is that Finnegan and Fisher were tight and coach implied that it is going to be tough sledding trying to fix that hot mess but he saw light at the end of the tunnel. Warm SoCal sunlight.

Well, considering the Rams were supposed to move last year and the league talked Kroenke out of it, it's not really much of a surprise.
If it comes to light that Kroenke or Fisher or anyone has retarded the offense on purpose for whatever reason, I'm going to be pissed though.

I'll say one thing, it certainly looked like Fisher tanked that last Niners game.
Not sure why though, unless it was to get a higher draft pick. It actually looked like both teams were trying to lose that game.
