I was wondering if you see any players willing to restructure their contract? Who do you see restructuring?

The candidates for restructures possible extensions are AD, Stafford, Kupp. Can’t really go to Higbee. Possibly Havenstein but I don’t see that move happening. Adding 1 year each to the big 3 would allow the big cap hits for this year to be reduced and spread out over the new contract duration.

I can see the Rams asking Noteboom to restructure to take a pay cut. If not he's a cut candidate

I wonder, if they can make other restructures, if they would designate Noteboom a post June 1 cut. If he restructures he has to take a pay cut for the ability to have his contract term shortened so he can hit free agency next year. But the ball is in his court. He’s getting paid pretty well if he stays or if he’s cut.

I don't know if it figures in the case of Noteboom but he's more than a year past his Achilles now. Might make a difference or he might just be what he is. Also, maybe he's the backup plan for Dotson? He was the starter at RG going into last year...

My bet is Noteboom is cut by 3/18 the date he is due his roster bonus.

That way we get 5M cap space this year. If he's a post 6/1 cut we get hit with 10M dead money hit in 2025.

If cut 3/17 we get the $5 mil cap space. But isn’t there also $15mil dead money for this year??

If post June 1 - $15 mil cap space, $10 mil dead money in 2024 and 2025.

I think they should restructure him down to a 1-2 year deal at half the cost or cut him prior to 3/18.

You are not going to get a very good backup,
especially that can play all four positions on the OL.
not for 5 mil.
McVay wanted to have 6 good O-Linemen.
Not unless they can resign Dotson, Shelton and AJ.
and get lucky again, and fine another top G or OT in the draft.

I feel the RAMs would be better served,
in drafting an edge or CB with their first pick,
even if they trade down.
or trade away their pick, because they traded for an edge or CB

With the salary cap going up,
we could reconstruct a few contracts.
I think we will be ok not cutting Noteboom.


By cutting Allen at this time,
I was expecting that,
because he wasn't getting any playing time at all.
He would dress, but not play at all,
unless Shelton got hurt.
