I wouldn’t rule out a quarterback with this pick. The Rams could follow the Packers’ Aaron Rodgers-to-Jordan Love blueprint and begin developing a passer behind Matthew Stafford. If they don’t go that route, continuing to add pass rushers would be a smart move.

Can’t speak to the draft but via FA or the draft, here are my opinions. As much as I like Hoecht as a DL we’ve let better players go than Roseboom, Williams and Fuller and they’ll likely do it again rather than raise the ante on these. We may fail in signing Wentz and Robinson but if we let Dotson go it’ll be to a huge contract elsewhere.

I'll say this about the draft and free agency. We need to get another ILB thumper. Watching these playoff games, most of the defenses have 2 ILB who can be difference makers. We have EJ and though he's a stud, I'd like another. Preferrably in the draft.....young and inexpensive for a few years.

Not Penn St. or Michigan but may be available in draft possibly later, look at Omar Speights’ highlights— be advised there’s more tape of him at Oregon State than LSU.

Your “classic” inside thumper, but his coverage ability is lacking.

Should mention his personal background/character is notable, def. worth reading.

Besides him, Taliese Fuaga (either at RG or RT) is another Oregon State 2024 draftee not to sleep on; don’t know if his skill set is what the Rams would be interested in for their line right now? But any team that gets him will have a vicious anchor in their running game (he does need a little seasoning on pass protect).
