Reality is we're not there yet. We should be disappointed with the loss. We're lifelong fans. But we went from 5-12 to 10-7 AFTER losing 8 starters on defense. That is called good development. It could have been much worse. We could have been blown out by Detroit or lost to SF. Or unexpectedly made the SB and lost to Baltimore. Or KC. This was fine. It was 2017 all over again but better. Now we've got a bunch of youngsters who grew up in a hurry, have playoff experience and undoubtedly a hunger to do better; go much further next year. Some key free agents and another good draft might be just the ticket. I can't be upset with what I watched this season. Because I know McVay & Snead will get it fixed. Quickly. Another stud OLB, CB and other help on D, another stud OL, WR and other help on O. We're rising again.

Yeah, it's hard not to agree with all of this. The loss stings, but the future looks bright, and we should be even better next year.

All good points, but… who are we afraid of, we know exactly what to expect against the niners. Beating them is not out of the question, and we all saw the Raven game, they coulda maybe shoulda won that game. I was starting to think this team could win it all.

What's being afraid of anybody got to do with it? Fuck SF!! Screw Philly!! I'm not afraid of any team. I'm sure the Rams aren't afraid of any team. Perspective. The 2nd youngest team in the league won twice as many games as "they were supposed to win", made the postseason they weren't supposed to even sniff and lost to talented team by 1 point. Disappointing? Sure. But only because they did things few expected. A fun ride? Absolutely. At least for this fan. Perspective.

Asking Hoecht to cover La Porta was like putting Hutchison on Puka. If I have to see Hoecht as a LB again in 2024 I will have the same bitch I had all year. Put him on the DLine. Get a real Edge/LB next year. That was simply giving away a TD on 4th down. Hoecht was 3 steps late 8 yards into the end zone.

As for next year, do you keep paying Kupp? Do you keep Tu Tu and still pay Robinson? Does AD come back or leave another huge hole in the D? God bless the injury prone KWill but do you upgrade the RB room? Does Higbee even have a future post-ACL? Does Dotson get signed? Do ya say ‘F them picks or do you dig for gold in another year with late round picks to fill your roster. Our #1 pick will be a CB. How many players go unsigned by Rams in 2024? A great season considering but many questions ahead.

Bottom Line is this. The loss stings but this year was "gravy." (Dead Cap hits, re-setting, no 1st Rd pick)

Now, I expect to be in HIGH Playoff contention , with Super Bowl aspirations from 2024 on, through the entirety of the remaining last seasons of Hall of Fame players Matthew Stafford, Aaron Donald and Cooper Kupp, and augmented by burgeoning superstar players in Puka Nakua and Kobie Turner.

Starting next season it's back to "Super Bowl or Bust" for us.

Well, there are good things that have come out of this loss. You can resume your negative nancy routine through the entire off season! :lol2: How many edge rushers do you guarantee we sign? :D

You go right to the insults when you lose the argument. You talk about reality but can’t face it. Gee, I wonder how many games we would have won if we had signed a decent edge rusher and not had Hoecht trying to cover TEs, WRs, and RBs, but have it your way. I see plenty of positives and there’s no one to blame for how it ended, only missed opportunities.
