Post mortem will reveal that the Rams lack of play calling and execution in the red zone was the death of the Rams 2023 season.

And not creative pass play calls at that. Run a damn screen, get down in the point blank zone and punch it in. You don’t have to get the TD 12-20 yards out. Just get down to the 2, go big on big and punch it in. We do t know if Stafford check out of the call into something else or the supplemental call either. Might not all be on MCV.

The redzone has been a problem all season. McVay has to examine his playcalling, his tendencies and his personnel packages. Perhaps, the latter more than the first two. A lot of teams go 12 down there. I gotta believe with Kyren, Kupp, Puka, Higbee and Allen, somebody is going to be open and definitely all of them can block.

Complicated schemes and playcalling that remains unchanged throughout the season/game. He needs some variety. I know, he wants everything to come out and look the same. But -- at this point -- I think the defenses would be MOST surprised if you just came out with something other than run down the gut. Especially with this OL.
And all that pre-snap motion works if you do it now and then, but its on every damn play now. I bet even Kupp, Nacua, and our TEs are sick of it.

I knew that when we settled for 3 to start the game it was over. Just like the Cincy game. We settled instead of playing with any killer instinct and it cost us

Imagine if McVay used 12 personnel in the red zone.

You too? Well to be honest, it wasn't really the FG. I knew the game was over when I looked down and realized I didn't have my lucky Ram socks on right after the FG!!!

^^^ Hey... I get it. Entertainment might be sparse in your neck of the woods so you're appreciative of any type of excitement that may come your way. But being a Mcvay/Rams apologist doesnt absolve the guys from criticism. Fact of the matter is... we beat the Lions...we have a helluva good chance at running the table and shocking the world with a trip to the SB. Instead... but, we made the same mistakes we made all year and refused to adjust... which led to our shitting of the bed... and early playoff exit

Not only pass happy but looking for one guy almost exclusively, but I get it in a pressure situation you revert to your bread and butter plays like Detroit did on the last first down but unfortunately Kupp wasn’t having that kind of day. Stafford missed Robinson a couple times but I thought he should’ve gone back to him, as much as we love Kupp he was basically a decoy or a possession receiver, could’ve used more Robinson and Tutu.
