POST #3 Elvis liked this post I went to that game in the Silverdome. It was pretty tight in the third quarter IIRC. We had great seats. Kurt Warner turned to us after his interview and fist pumped us. We walked right by the security guard at the end of the game and to the RAMS buses. This was like a month after 9-11. Isaac Bruce begrudgingly signed a RAMS mini helmet for me (his Mom egged him on). He wasn't targeted very much in the game so I think he was feeling a bit sour. We said hello to Toledo alum Andy McCollum. Torry Holt acknowledged us. London Fletcher came over to us, greeted us and gave me the soul brother handshake. Warner was the last one to come hustling out of the tunnel and onto the bus and they immediately left. Boomer Esiason of the MNF telecast came out of the tunnel and acknowledged us. It was an awesome night. "Shoot, we'll fix that." 1 by Elvis 3 days 15 hours ago Total posts: 39457 Joined: Mar 28 2015 Los Angeles Administrator Re: Fun Isn't It? POST #4 TOPIC AUTHOR Bump... POST #10 rams74 liked this post The thing about Martz (w/the Rams) was, his offense was so good they could (almost) overcome anything. Down to the Saints in New Orleans, they come back within 3 and Az fumbles the punt. I think anybody who watched that game knew, Az catches that punt clean we go down and score 7. Down to the Patriots, in a game dominated by New England, they turn it on in the 4th quarter and tie. So the Patriots win with a FG but that's on the defense. The thought was, after tying it up, with a young QB, they were gonna play for OT and Madden said as much, in fact believed it was a mistake. I think that screwed with Lovie's game calling. He should have pressured more. But anybody who watched that game believed if it goes to OT, the Rams would have won. We know how those games turned out but for an asshole, his record was pretty fooking good (53-32). In fact, his record was pretty good for anybody. Hindsight is fine but I enjoyed that period almost as much as I enjoy McVay's tenure. Been following the horns since the Coliseum had a Roman playing there. McVay: 77-49, 2 Superbowls, 1 Lombardi............Doubt at your own peril 1 Reply 1 / 1 Display: All posts1 day7 days2 weeks1 month3 months6 months1 year Sort by: AuthorPost timeSubject Sort by: AscendingDescending Jump to: Forum Rams/NFL Other Sports Rams Fans United Q&A's Board Business 10 posts Sep 07 2024

POST #8 TOPIC AUTHOR BrooklynRam74, PARAM, FMulder liked this post Asshole Mike Martz was the best Mike Martz. He was like a serial killer, methodically dissecting the other teams' defense. He got goofier as the Rams got worse. I liked the serial killer because that's when those Rams were their best...
